good game
This game looks very promising but needs a bit more polishing. Nonetheless, NMRH2 is the scarier zombie game out there.
Bought this game expecting " Escape from Tarkov - but with zombies ", stayed for the amazing mechanics and slow-but-deadly zombies. Pros: You get dropped in an immersive world with intuitive gameplay, realistic animations, and powerful weapons for all playing styles. Whilst playing solo, you can either try being slow & steady, with the rubber boots, or full-on bazooka, with explosions & shotguns. Cons: Despite many saying that "this feels like a true multiplayer game", I found the multiplayer aspect to be rough. Lobbies of 6 people feel too messy, with no clear communication goal. Everyone usually either gathers in a big, messy group, or goes rogue in the other corner of the map. I struggled to feel like my input mattered. This is not your average extraction shooter, where you keep your loot in a stash and upgrade your character -- the core gameplay loop is just challenging yourself to extract without dying. The only things you gain are XP (in multiplayer) and tickets (mainly for cosmetics). If you're looking for a game where you hoard better and better items in a stash trying to max everything out--this is not the game for you. If you're looking to challenge yourself with harder and harder difficulties, you will definitely enjoy this game. The only thing I'd want them to polish is the multiplayer aspect. They could perhaps use valorant-like lobbies, where each character has a set role (i.e. bulldozer, exploder, stealth etc.) and making leaving the party more punishing--it just feels too casual & messy at the moment.
Good game to play with friends! - Enough maps to keep the formula fresh (maps repeat with different player spawns etc) - Feels like a Romero version of left 4 dead, with a bit of dying light sprinkled in - character permadeath makes it more fun somehow, lovely seeing your buddy run at you zombified - zombies are actually scary for once, mostly because of the night maps - gun handling and audio are great - satisfying player feedback in combat
Havent played it idk
gim lowk gd
It's not bad. It's come a long way since the EA(Early Access). God the EA was a ♥♥♥♥ SHOW. I did notice in the Broadway map. There seems to be a bug that will cause only one player to be unable to climb into the train. Which of course will cause them lose their character. Otherwise, the game runs much smoother now than back in EA. The hitbox is much better overall. I get that most players are new unlike me who has been playing this since it was released in EA. I see players try to speed run the matches rather than collect gear or the supplies. The supplies are what allows you to get XP for your character. It also gives you supplies to spend on equipment so you aren't starting with a mallet and the .22 pea shooter. It's fun with friends. It could be run solo with randoms or actually run solo with just you. However solo with just you results in no XP gained and no permadeath. Great way to learn the map and the attack patterns.
