I don't usually post reviews for games, I'll make an exception here. I wanted to play this on release but due to me not being able to own the game I wasn't able to get it, I could have pirated it nonetheless, but I didn't want to. You could also say that buying the game during the release would have been a huge mistake, but anyways! I'm dodging the spoilers! Watching this game come so far from it's disastrous release to a truly fun to play game, even today, is a true redemption story many developers fail to accomplish nowadays. For the life of me, I wasn't able to drop this game once I bought it, it's amazingly fun to play solo or with friends as you'll never find yourself running out of things to do. Want to build a base? Go ahead! Wanna make a new spaceship, sure! Do you want to become an overseer of a settlement? That works too! Basically, your options are limitless, well, uh, to some extent. You will find some copy & pasted buildings here and there, but nothing too scary in my opinion. The game is definitely worth it's asking price, and you should pick it up if you're looking for an open world, mess around and find out type of exploration game. To the team, the fans are proud of you!

Never have i seen a game and a developer that redeemed themselves on this level like No Mans Sky, and Hello Games, props to you!

I was one of the guys that laughed when this game was released and it was in a poor state. Players losing their minds and generally a feeling that this game was a scam. As the game has been repaired, improved and expanded by Hello Games my interest has grown. There is something noble about a game company that screws up and then spends years quietly just resolving issues and dropping free updates. Anyway I have bought, tried and refunded this game twice over the years but its always been there as a game I felt i should like. I have now bought and not refunded NMS and Im only 40hrs into the game but its great fun. Its quite overwhelming when you first start due to 10 years worth of expansions activating all at once and there just being so much choice but I very much recommend NMS. Top game, Top company.
