Absolutely broken trash. The camera angles are almost always badly chosen and hides enemies in ways that have you run right into them. The enemies of course make no noise to hint at them being there unless they are hunting you. And with cramped environments that make it hard to run past enemies even if you see them ahead of time coupled with a severe ammo scarcity this game is just frustrating. Add to that how enemies can attack you even after they die if their attack animation has begun, even if it hadn't hit you and you have a rage quit out of me.
É legal vermos a história e motivação do personagem principal. Plus: Tem a "famosa" arma no jogo!
Excellent 90-minute classic-style survival horror. It is occasionally possible to get softlocked if you aren't efficient enough, but starting over isn't a huge deal-- the game is fairly short and fast once you know the route.
Primeiro jogo do estúdio Helemon, achei bem legal o jogo, me lembrou Alone in the dark e Resident evil do playstation 1. Tomei alguns sustos e trilha sonora bem interessante. Recomendo!
After a strong opening cutscene and some sequences that recall the original Resident Evil 2, No Hope devolves into a mix of linear fetch quests and exercises in ammo conservation, best played with a podcast on in the background. The visuals are functional on the low end of the indie spectrum, though there are quite a few cutscenes for special moments. Sounds effects are fine, but music repeats irritatingly. Controls and interface are mostly fine, but combat is purely about holding down your trigger finger and hoping you kill them before they kill you - plus, you'll lock onto enemies through walls, which can cause you to waste bullets. While occasionally there's some interesting angles, the application of fixed multicam suffers from constant use of panning camera that tracks the player and kills the atmosphere while making it difficult to pick out enemies. Worth it on sale if you really like fixed camera games - but if you like fixed camera games, consider checking out the Fixed Camera Appreciation Society and curator for lists of every fixed camera game made, released on Steam or not...!
Pretty neat - if a little bare bones - horror game clearly inspired by the old classics. Not without its issues from time to time, some of the camera work (particularly in the street areas) were a bit awkward and punishing. It felt a bit like a prototype, but a pretty good one to be fair. I hope to see the developer build on the foundations laid out here with their future work.
Needs a sequel.
