Absolutely fantastic game. The simplicity lets you get immersed quickly in the game. Every puzzle is well thought out and the game balances the skill level nicely to allow you to expand your solving mindset gradually. Relaxing and challenging. Definitely a must try if you like puzzle games.
A fantastic and challenging experience on a very simple format, very enjoyable
While this game looks simple enough, the puzzles within are challenging and engaging! It's definitely worth checking out!

A very competent take on the sokoban gameplay with a charming retro look. What attracted me to the game were the retro graphics, reminiscent of the 8-bit days when we had to redefine the ASCII characters to create little symbols for the game graphics. The game itself starts quietly with a large map to explore and little arcade cabinets where you solve sokoban levels. It introduces new little twists to the sokoban gameplay and the thing is pretty nice. The maps are very large with lots of secrets to discover, and can make you feel lost, then later there's a meta gameplay with the maps that is very cool but makes the game rather complex. I suppose there's about the same level of complexity as in games like La Mulana with dozens of secrets. It inolves quite a bit of engagement and this game is probably not for everybody, sadly I think I won't finish it either. But if you love solving complex puzzles that require mental engagement, you'll be right at home. If you love retro-style adventure puzzle games, you must try No Anglerfish!
peak gaming. 10/10 would recommend
I, like many other reviews, went into this expecting a short and linear sokoban game, with a very charming and simple art style. But dang, I feel like i only scratched the surface of this game as of writing this review, it is a puzzle-based metroidvania, with a lot of hidden extra objectives. Ive also seen that there is some kind of
conlang in the gear area's signs
, which makes me really excited to hopefully figure it out later! I dont usually play puzzle games, much less sokobans, but this one is very much a gem that is severely underrated, especially so considering the price!!
Yeah, it took about 29 hours to beat it.
I found all 32 friends.
I used walkthrough videos not for the Sokoban puzzles, but to find a few friends.
There was still a token puzzle in the basement, but I was short 23 tokens. That's enough for me.
It is unexpectedly addictive. Thanks to the producer.
The puzzles are very creative and the cat's name is amazing!
