Nitro Battle Racing

Very poorly optimized, but it's pretty decent. Why does using my rearview mirror halve my frame rate? Other than that, fun-ish game. This game feels like a great start for a really cool project. Edit: after changing my graphics from the default (Epic) to something that actually runs on my steam deck (Medium), I now consistently get 50-60 fps, even with the mirror down. So not sure what the epic graphics setting does, but clearly my deck doesn't like it lol. After playing a bit more, my review has changed from a "Recommend, proceed with caution" to a "solid recommend". The map design is quite well done, The AI is annoyingly competent (A good thing, imo), there are shortcuts in the maps, the cars are adequately unique, and the items you can pick up are all pretty fun. I do have two complaints to bring up, though: a) the radar jammer item feels a bit antithetical to what this game is made for. If the point of the game is to race around with abilities, why add an item that cuts off your abilities? b) this game thrives with tracks that have offroad next to the drivable path. Nitro Battle Stadium and Cyber Speedway kinda throw a wrench in that, since the former has raised edges, meaning if you hit the side, you basically completely stop and have no way to save your position, and the latter has open space. Meaning you will be falling off the track plenty of times. I went from top 3 to 10th significantly more on Cyber Speedway than any other map. Other than that, very cool game!

Falla en físicas a nivel de paredes, el auto avanza en el aire, adicional mente hay un mal balanceo a nivel de armas y velocidad de vehiculos, en el modo individual con que falles una unica vez es imposible alcanzar al auto aunque lo hagas perfecto, pero puede mejorar..

Both simple and competitive. This game is extremely balanced. Unless you are playing against snails, victory is never a guarantee. Even I, a somewhat skilled driver, had to make many attempts on expert difficultly to achieve 1st place. As with Mario Kart, I found acceleration to be rather pointless. Top speed is of most importance, with handling being a somewhat close 2nd (depending on track). What makes this game stand out however, was its addition of the special abilities earned through "drifting". Many games provide a variable speed boost for such action, but this game goes further, offering offensive, defensive, and speed focused abilities instead. This is the best free racing game I've ever played, even surpassing paid games such as Garfield Kart and Race With Ryan. I only tested the Single Player section of this game, but I'd assume the Multiplayer would be just as amazing if not better. 9/10. Good game. Pretty fun. I like.
