As far as HOGs go this was a solidly decent one. I liked the story and had fun playing it. It wasn't a terribly surprising story, but it does make me wonder what the rest of the games in the series will be about. Pros: Overall very straight forward with considerably less moments where the game has you scratching your head as to what weird object it says you need to use for a single specific purpose. The puzzles were fun, but not particularly difficult. This is a good game for someone looking to get into the HOG genre. Cons: Mostly that if you want to 100% this game you have to play it through twice. It's kinda irritating. As much as I enjoyed the Mahjong replacing the Hidden Object Searches the 2nd time through, it would have been nicer to simply have the option of playing the Mahjong levels without needing to run through the whole game again. Also, the Expert Level has a tendency NOT to ENGAGE when you toggle it the first time. A fact I didn't realize till I HAD finished the game the 1st time. (So I would've had to replay it anyway) Irritation all around in having to play it over again. But overall, I enjoyed it and would reccomend it. I'm looking forward to playing the sequels.

Juego de pistas ocultas demasiado sencillo. El argumento, aunque trillado está bien y la atmósfera también es un buen punto. Sin embargo, los puzzles son bastantes sencillitos, la traducción hace aguas en algunos puntos, lo que hace que algunos juegos de objetos sean complicados al tener que "imaginar" lo que se ha querido decir. Además, el juego tiene algún que otro bug tedioso relacionado con los logros que puede hacer que, si quieres lograrlo todos, tengas que estar muy atento o te tocará empezar todo de nuevo. Además, personalmente, no me gustan los juegos que sí o sí te obligan a jugar dos veces para lograr todos los logros. La duración del juego está bien e incluso la del capítulo extra. Además, buen detalle que, por ejemplo, para romper una puerta, tienes que darle tú varias veces (como sería la realidad). En la mayor parte de juegos de este tipo es más irreal. En todo caso, como digo, entre los bugs y la sencillez, no recomiendo el juego, ya que los hay mejores.

I remember playing Nightmares from the Deep on my mum’s PC when I was younger. It left such a vivid impression on me that when I saw the demo on the Microsoft Store, I knew I had to try it again. After all those years, I couldn’t stop wondering how the full story would unfold and what surprises were hidden in the depths of the game. What I loved the most about the Nightmares from the Deep series is the pirate story at its center. The game follows Captain Remington, a cursed pirate brought back to life, and his story immediately pulled me in. His past, connected to forbidden love and dark magic, kept me curious as I played. The cursed ships, Skull Island, and hidden treasures made the exploration exciting. Solving puzzles and hidden object scenes to uncover more about Remington and the curse felt like being part of a real pirate adventure. It’s a story that’s stuck with me ever since.

excellent games, very representative of the genre. Why aren't they available on the steam store anymore?
