It's seriously addictive. Shaving off seconds from my record is so fun that I keep challenging myself. Character selection is crucial depending on the map, so even the same map feels completely different depending on who you use, which is really refreshing. Also, the art in this game is truly a masterpiece. The beautiful cityscapes make me want to run just by looking at them. The sense of speed is incredible, and the skill animations are so flashy that it's a thrill just to watch.

NO!
Fun speed platformer with lots of maps and things to unlock. Community maps drastically increases replayability. This was covered as part of this week's episode of Free2Play Weekly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScPE0ah1ldQ&t=1316
When I play Neon Runners, I become a Neon Gooner
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.

Warning: In-Game Cash Shop This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money/credit card details to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
This was a failed attempt to make something gamers don't really want... a PvP platformer/racer, where you need to beat the other players (there are no other players) to the end of the platformer level. And give all your money to the developers through the toxic cash shop. So, "Neon Runners: Craft & Dash" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the Game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. The developers abandoned this 10 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. While I couldn't find this on the mobile app stores, everything about it looks and feels like it's a mobile app designed for mobile phones... for PC gaming enthusiasts, it's not going to give you a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. We don't spend thousands building gaming rigs so that we can pretend they're iPhones and play iPhone games and mobile apps. The graphics are lacklustre because this was designed for mobile phones, not gaming PCs. Whenever a product is designed to run tolerably on 5 year old iPhones, it's obviously not going to come close to the minimum quality standards that PC gaming enthusiasts except on their cutting edge gaming rigs. One more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. PC gamers don't spend thousands on their gaming rigs so they can pretend they're iPhones. That alone is enough to disqualify this for recommendation. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 11 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead.
It is incredibly addicted trying to shave that last tenth of a second off your run. Absolutely worth sinking some hours into to try and get that perfect run
