Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content. The developer deliberately breached Valve's requirement to disclose the use of AI slop in an attempt to mislead and defraud gamers.
Neon Fantasy: Fairies is a construction kit game. The Russian "developer" (Cute Hannah/Green Goose/Quantum Quiver/etc etc... he uses a lot of fake accounts to hide his identity) used the mediocre ClickTeam Fusion video game construction kit, filling out input forms/using premade level design tools. Basically an "asset flip", but with AI slop generated images instead of assets stolen from someone else... this is WORSE than asset flipping. This isn't a sincerely made game, it was slapped together quickly as a minimum viable product... a hopeless cash grab made for one reason: To generate Steam Keys in bulk for crap random game bundles, just to get a few roubles for polluting Steam with trash. Obviously this garbage has no value for gamers as a real game, and the Russian developer behind this who goes by a number of different shell accounts to hide his identity is just polluting Steam with an absolute deluge of these empty, fake games. Here's some of the accounts this guy is using to spam Steam with crap:

Cute Hannah's Games
Blender Games
Quantum Quiver Games
Green Goose Corporation
My Label Game Studio
And this game itself is not "unique" at all... the developer has copy + pasted dozens of copies of this game with AI slop reskins onto Steam:

Lovely Anime Puzzle: Christmas
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Easter
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Halloween
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Lunar New Year
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Patrick
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Summer
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Valentine
Neon Fantasy: Animals
Neon Fantasy: Birds
Neon Fantasy: Boys
Neon Fantasy: Butterflies
Neon Fantasy: Cats
Neon Fantasy: Dogs
Neon Fantasy: Fairies
Neon Fantasy: Furries
Neon Fantasy: Girls
Neon Fantasy: Horses
Neon Fantasy: Monkeys
Neon Fantasy: Mushrooms
Neon Fantasy: Owls
Neon Fantasy: Predators
Neon Fantasy: Rodents
Poly Puzzle: Animals
Poly Puzzle: Birds
Poly Puzzle: Butterflies
Poly Puzzle: Cats
Poly Puzzle: Dinosaurs
Poly Puzzle: Dogs
Poly Puzzle: Furries
Poly Puzzle: Furries 2
Poly Puzzle: Predators
Poly Puzzle: Primates
Puzzle Art: Artiodactyls
Puzzle Art: Birds
Puzzle Art: Cats
Puzzle Art: Dogs
Puzzle Art: Horses
Puzzle Art: Predators
Puzzle Art: Primates
Puzzle Art: Reptiles
Puzzle Art: Rodents
Puzzle Art: Snakes
These are all AI slop reskins of exactly the same game!!! If you try to actually "play" this garbage, well, it's a Flash tier, very basic, childish jigsaw puzzle game that barely works, and the images are all AI slop. There's no real reason anyone would want to play this. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static AI Slop images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. As mentioned, this features really godawful, "wrong" looking AI slop instead of genuinely and sincerely created game assets. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating real game assets or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision. AI slop sticks out like a sore thumb... and it comes across as insulting. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. These flaws make this game fall far short of the professional standards we expect from a modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game all-time peak player count was only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. One of the driving elements of this shovelware game is "achievement spam", that is to say the game features a ridiculously large number of trivial/automatically granted achievements, 100 of them, in fact. It's a damning indictment for this shovelware that people only bought it for easy achievements, and not because it has any serious merit as a real game. Because Valve have blocked profile features on this game, these achievements will not count towards your profile tally. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 140,000+ games on Steam? Neon Fantasy: Owls is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. The quality problems and defects with this game makes the asking price totally unrealistic. It is impossible to recommend this to gamers here on Steam. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Neon Fantasy: Owls is a deliberately simple, visually driven puzzle game that embraces a minimalist design philosophy and builds its entire identity around a single, familiar gameplay loop. Developed and published by Quantum Quiver Games, it fits comfortably within the studio’s broader lineup of casual jigsaw-style titles, offering a low-pressure experience that prioritizes relaxation over challenge. From the outset, it makes no attempt to disguise its intentions—this is a game meant to be easy to approach, easy to complete, and easy to step away from at any time. The gameplay revolves around reconstructing images that have been divided into evenly sized pieces. Each puzzle presents a neon-styled illustration of an owl, and the player’s task is to drag and place each fragment until the full image is restored. There are adjustable difficulty settings that increase or decrease the number of pieces, giving players some control over how involved each puzzle becomes. However, beyond this basic customization, the mechanics remain unchanged throughout the entire experience. There are no additional rules introduced, no variations in puzzle structure, and no evolving systems to keep the gameplay feeling fresh. The result is a loop that is immediately understandable but also highly repetitive over extended play. Progression is tied directly to completing puzzles, with each finished image unlocking the next. The game includes a modest collection of levels, each offering a different owl-themed illustration rendered in a consistent neon aesthetic. This creates a steady sense of forward movement, but it is purely content-based. There is no overarching progression system, no narrative framework, and no sense of escalation beyond the optional increase in difficulty. The experience feels more like moving through a curated set of images than advancing through a structured game, with each puzzle serving as both the objective and the reward. The visual presentation is the game’s most distinctive feature. The neon theme gives each illustration a glowing, high-contrast look that stands out against darker backgrounds, creating a cohesive and immediately recognizable style. The owls themselves are stylized in a way that emphasizes symmetry and color, making them well-suited to the puzzle format. However, the consistency of the aesthetic also becomes a limitation over time. While the images are visually appealing, they tend to follow similar patterns and compositions, which can make them feel interchangeable after several levels. Audio design supports the game’s relaxed tone without drawing much attention to itself. Soft background music plays throughout, reinforcing the calm and unhurried pace of the experience. There are no dramatic shifts in sound or notable audio cues, and the soundtrack functions more as ambient support than as a defining element. This aligns with the overall design philosophy, where nothing is meant to interrupt the player’s focus or introduce unnecessary tension. One of the most defining aspects of Neon Fantasy: Owls is its complete lack of pressure. There are no timers, no penalties for mistakes, and no scoring systems to track performance. This makes it highly accessible and allows players to engage with the game at their own pace, turning it into a kind of digital relaxation exercise. However, this same quality also removes any sense of urgency or accomplishment beyond simply finishing a puzzle. Without obstacles to overcome or goals to strive toward, the experience can begin to feel passive, especially for players who prefer more engaging or challenging gameplay. Replay value is limited for similar reasons. While players can revisit puzzles at higher difficulty levels or aim to complete all available achievements, the core experience does not change in any meaningful way. Once all puzzles have been completed, there is little incentive to return unless the player specifically enjoys the act of assembling images. This positions the game as a short-term diversion rather than something designed for long-term engagement. Within the context of Quantum Quiver Games’ catalog, Neon Fantasy: Owls feels like a continuation of an established template rather than a unique offering. The developer has produced multiple titles that follow the same structure with different visual themes, and this game adheres closely to that formula. For players who are already familiar with these kinds of releases, the experience will feel immediately recognizable, offering more of the same rather than something new. Ultimately, Neon Fantasy: Owls succeeds in delivering a calm, visually cohesive puzzle experience that is easy to pick up and enjoy in short bursts. It provides a consistent and accessible loop that works well for players looking to relax without much effort. At the same time, its lack of innovation, minimal depth, and repetitive structure prevent it from leaving a strong or lasting impression. It is best approached as a brief, low-commitment distraction rather than a fully developed puzzle game. Rating: 6/10
