Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.
Color Splash: Parrots is yet another construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, Quantum Quiver Games/Blender games/Cute Hannah (the Russians behind this crap use a bunch of fake accounts to mislead gamers and hide their identity). These guys do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on some basic AI slop images, and dump them on Steam and into cheap nasty shovelware game bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. This is just a really bare bones basic jigsaw puzzle, and you can play these free in a web browser or on mobile phones... so this existing here on Steam as a paid product doesn't represent good value for money for prospective buyers. The "developer" behind this ClickTeam Fusion asset flip has copy + pasted this exact game onto Steam TEN times so far... which is ten too many, so you can see how the pollution works. The Russian developer behind this has spammed over ONE HUNDRED of these very lazy "asset flip" Clickteam Fusion fake games onto Steam, populated with AI slop. This is cancer. Taking this seriously as a game, which nobody should, from a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Clickteam Fusion construction kit - the "No-Code" construction kit that "Anyone can make games with!!". Including, you know, people who aren't game developers. Which is a problem. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it's free (so they don't have to pay for GameMaker Studio) and doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. So it's inappropriate when amateurs try to use these for profit, without any actual, real game development effort taking place. This doesn't result in products that have any real meaningful value for gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 130,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 130,000+ games on Steam? Color Splash: Parrots is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Color Splash: Parrots, developed and published by Quantum Quiver Games, is a casual puzzle experience built around vibrant imagery and relaxed gameplay. As part of the broader Color Splash series, the game centers on assembling colorful artwork through accessible, low-pressure mechanics. In this particular entry, the focus shifts to parrots—bright, tropical birds known for their striking plumage and expressive presence. The result is a visually driven puzzle game that emphasizes calm engagement rather than challenge or competition. At its core, Color Splash: Parrots follows a familiar image-assembly formula. Players are presented with scrambled puzzle pieces that must be rearranged and rotated into their correct positions to complete a full illustration. The interface is simple and intuitive, typically relying on mouse-based controls that allow players to drag and place pieces freely. There are no complicated systems to manage, no resource mechanics, and no demanding time constraints. Instead, the game prioritizes steady progress and visual satisfaction as the artwork gradually comes together. The strongest aspect of the experience lies in its presentation. Each completed image showcases detailed and vividly colored parrot-themed artwork, often set against tropical or nature-inspired backdrops. The use of bold color palettes—featuring deep reds, vibrant blues, bright yellows, and lush greens—gives the puzzles a striking visual identity. As pieces lock into place, players are rewarded with a growing sense of clarity as the chaotic arrangement transforms into a cohesive and lively scene. The artwork serves not only as the goal but also as the primary motivation for continued play. Unlike high-intensity puzzle games that revolve around speed or scoring systems, Color Splash: Parrots adopts a relaxed pacing. There is little pressure to complete puzzles quickly, making it suitable for players seeking a meditative or stress-free activity. The absence of aggressive timers or penalty systems ensures that the experience remains approachable for players of all skill levels. This design choice makes it particularly appealing for those who enjoy unwinding with visually engaging but mentally gentle tasks. The game’s structure typically includes multiple images to assemble, offering incremental progress as players complete each artwork. While there may be achievements or minor progression indicators tied to puzzle completion, the primary reward is visual completion itself. There are no elaborate story elements or evolving gameplay systems; instead, the focus remains consistent throughout. This simplicity may limit long-term engagement for players seeking depth, but it aligns perfectly with the game’s calming intent. Audio design tends to support the relaxed atmosphere with unobtrusive background music and subtle sound effects. The soundtrack generally avoids dramatic or high-energy compositions, reinforcing the tranquil mood of the gameplay. Combined with the colorful visuals, the overall presentation creates a cohesive experience that feels like interacting with a digital art book rather than competing in a traditional game environment. Replay value is modest, as the puzzles are fixed and do not feature procedural variation. Once an image has been completed, the incentive to replay it depends largely on personal enjoyment rather than new challenges. However, for players who appreciate visual art and casual puzzle-solving, revisiting favorite images can still provide satisfaction. The game’s short and contained format makes it ideal for brief play sessions rather than extended marathons. Ultimately, Color Splash: Parrots succeeds as a visually charming and relaxing puzzle title. It does not aim to innovate mechanically or introduce complex systems; instead, it focuses on delivering a soothing experience built around colorful parrot-themed artwork. For players who enjoy casual jigsaw-style puzzles and appreciate vibrant imagery, it offers a calm and pleasant way to spend time. Its strength lies in its simplicity—an uncomplicated yet visually rewarding puzzle experience that invites players to slow down and enjoy the art piece by piece. Rating: 6/10

It is a basic jigsaw game that can probably beat in two hours. The achievements work and you can get them simply by beating the game once. Some people care about those things. The pieces are a bit too specific in almost a pixel-perfect way in how precisely you have to place them down before they are accepted as the solution. The pieces seem to drown into the background due to a matching color scheme, meaning you might have to spend a few seconds to find the last piece to place. Also the color scheme might be challenging for the color blind and you really have to see some of the slight color changes to connect the pieces. You are NOT getting a classic game with this one. These games are clearly some machine-generated mass-produced slop games. Just look at how many there are of these games in the same series and how they share the same game template. CAVEAT EMPTOR. It is not a bad template and this one seems to have pretty good performance with no noticeable loading times even on a potato. According to AVGN, "the most important part of any f-ing game" is "being f-ing able to play it" (from the Atari 5200 episode) and this game is fully playable and easy to use. Gameplay-wise it is simple though at least it works as a game with clear goals and so forth. Because of the generated nature of these things, you probably should only consider them on a deep discount. These games are cheap to make en masse because you can recycle a lot of stuff and only have to generate some music and graphics
