This game maybe flawed in some ways but the vibes it gives is unmatched even today. The dark noir rain aesthetic along with the sense of speed is soooooooooo good. Please play this with the remastered mod to have much better handling.

Once you've fixed the wonky physics with a handling mod, like Handling Overhaul, it actually becomes a really good game! Shame for the always online requirement that keeps booting you out in the middle of vinyl creation and making you lose all your progress on it. That part is quite infuriating. For Linux users, the game works fine on Wine/Proton, with very minor, almost unnoticeable visual artifacts on reflections and AO. ... Or maybe that happens on Windows too, I don't really have a way to know. VRAM usage stays around 4GB on the High settings preset.

O estilo de corrida noturna é realmente perfeito para um jogo de corrida e esse NfS chega nessa sensação de corrida urbana com velocidade e drift satisfatório. Referências de Most Wanted e o Underground com missões espalhadas em um mundo aberto, personagens interativos para ter como desafio futuro, vários carros e personalização para ir tunando e aperfeiçoando ao seu gosto. A interação online com outros players foi bem agradável na minha experiência também.
