**Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) — A Cheap Copy of the Original**
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) feels like a cheap copy of the original, and honestly, it fails to capture what made the 2005 version so memorable.
One of the biggest problems is the complete lack of car customization. You can't properly modify your car visually or make it feel like your own. For a Need for Speed game, that's a huge disappointment. The customization was one of the best parts of the original, so removing it makes this game feel incredibly shallow.
The progression is another major issue. You can get extremely powerful cars almost immediately, which completely ruins the feeling of working your way up. There's no real sense of achievement when you can jump into a supercar so early in the game. The original Most Wanted made you earn your way through the Blacklist, while this one just throws fast cars at you.
And then there's the DLC. The game feels like it constantly pushes you toward paying extra for content that should have been part of the base game. Some DLC packs basically give you just a handful of additional events, sometimes only one or two races, which makes the whole thing feel like a cheap cash grab.
Even worse, the legendary **BMW E46 M3 GTR**, one of the most iconic cars in Need for Speed history, is locked behind paid DLC. Other cars are also unavailable in the basic version of the game, which is ridiculous considering how important these cars are to the identity of Most Wanted. Having to pay extra just to access some of them makes the experience even more frustrating.
The HUD is also pretty bad. It's cluttered, confusing, and doesn't feel intuitive. Instead of making important information easy to see, it often gets in the way and makes the overall experience less enjoyable.
The driving can be fun and the game looks decent, but those things aren't enough to save it. Compared to the 2005 Most Wanted, this game feels like it took the name and some of the ideas but removed most of what made the original special.
**Overall: 3/10.** If you're looking for the classic Most Wanted experience, play the 2005 version instead. This one feels less like a true successor and more like a watered-down imitation designed to sell you additional content.
