About
The project:
Emilia is an ordinary girl living on top of a mountain until strange things start to happen, demons and angels are facing each other to decide whose human souls will be, an event that will become known to all as the Lost Christmas.
The Gameplay:
Lost Christmas has simple gameplay. The battles are in turns and the entire soundtrack of the game is professional, the combat mechanics are traditional, Attack, Defense, Skills and Items, but the acquisition of spells differs from the common, in most games the characters acquire new spells through masteries and reading scrolls, grimoires, etc. In Natal Perdido new spells are unlocked as the player finds or acquires verses scattered throughout the game, these verses when equipped grant the character new abilities, status and attributes according to the passage described in it.
When purchasing this game keep in mind that it is a totally independent project in development, created with great care by a single person, this one who tells you. The central idea is to offer a complete JRPG entirely in OLD SCHOOL style with turn-based battles, various equipment, legendary weapons, skills, NPCs, as well as characters with a rich, deep and mysterious story, the game has secrets , easter eggs and secret passages which it is quite possible that only 1% of players will discover.

RPG Maker strikes again! "Natal Perdido" is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. This godawful RPG Maker asset flip is worse than all the others. Most of the time RPG Maker asset flips are just a cringefest fan-fiction about the developers imaginary anime girlfriend. This one is toxic religious indoctrination... the video game equivalent of "Christian Rock", and just like that, this is not making religion better, it's just making gaming worse. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 6 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. There's no English translation for the this, but that's okay. The language of bad products is universal. Whether we may or may not agree with the cause, it's my firm believe that politics and religion of any kind has no place in gaming. It does no service to gamers at all for political or social agenda to be shoved down our throats, no matter which side is doing the shoving. We're here to have fun, not get indoctrinated. Because the primary purpose of this product is totally unrelated to gaming, this really just makes gaming worse, and does nothing to further the developers religious crusade. This is one of those things that gives amateur developers such a bad name. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $1 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on unfinished, low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. This is a slap in the face to anyone naive enough to back this project thinking the developer would make good on their promises. Instead, the developers kept the money from all the backers they scammed. Not a single cent has been refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
Usually developers breach guidelines to argue with reviewers, not just because they can't emotionally handle the extent of their failure, but also because they somehow think flinging crap at reviewers will somehow reverse their failure. Here, the developer deliberately admits to doing the wrong thing on purpose. Let's break this train wreck down as a godawfully badly failed "developer" makes things worse. The developer admits this is an asset flip, assets ripped off from RPG Maker and RPG Maker asset packs... yet they see nothing wrong with publishing the work of others as if it was their own... plagiarism. Is plagiarism frowned on in the bible? I guess stealing the work of others is okay for some... I think it's disgustingly unethical. The developer admits the crux of this appalling RPG Maker asset flip is religious evangelism... never okay, but I already pointed out why it's bad in my original review. The developer simply doesn't understand that people adding free games to their library (there's even scripts that let you do this) doesn't mean they download it or play it... the player count stats reflect that and that's the meaningful and important figure... but the developer, unable to cope with his failure, tries to distort that to mislead gamers. Thou shalt not bear false witness. The developer claims this is their first time trying to make a game. If I went to a restaurant, got sick from eating bad food, and got told "The chef is new and has never cooked food before", would that make it okay? No, it wouldn't. The developer supplied a very valid reason why this should never have been put up for sale on Steam in the first place. The developer admits they didn't hire a team of talented staff to produce the game and tried to do the whole thing on their own, instead. This is a lot like boarding an airplane, and halfway through the flight, having the pilot come out and serve peanuts. It's going to end in disaster. It requires a team of competent people to do a complex job properly, and that's not what has happened here... another explanation for the poor quality of this game. Finally, the developer of this train wreck demands that my review instruct them on how to make video games, because they obviously don't know, looking at this dismal failure of this product. There is no obligation for reviews to be constructive. Reviews are not written to teach developers how to make games. They should know this before they release products on Steam. If they don't, why does this have to be a problem for gamers? Video game reviews are to inform gamers on their decisions around which games to buy, download, or spend their time playing. Nothing in the developers pointless breach of Valve guidelines changes any of the objective facts of my review. My review stands unaltered. I cannot recommend this garbage door knocking religious kook RPG Maker asset flip to anyone.
Excelente iniciativa, irmão. Que a boa mão de Deus guie todos os seus passos. Realmente é excelente ver um jogo bem feito espalhando (literalmente) a palavra entre crentes e descrentes. Continue firme! Não tema nem desanime.
