In terms of pure gameplay, Naraka is a great and unique battle royale. The combat feels great, the characters and their abilities are well designed and fun to use. It essentially is fighting game style combat with a mix of moba / hero shooter esque character abilties and ultimates. It also offers an insane level of character customization where you can really go off on the details if you enjoy that. However, the reality of the gameplay experience has a few glaring issues, mostly related to the game's lack of popularity in the west. Essentially 95% + of the playerbase is Chinese, playing on the CN server. The other servers have an extremely small population. It is extremely easy to become a top 500 player or a top 100 on the leaderboard of a certain character because the amount of people playing on the NA / EU servers is so small. ( That's why its funny that some of the people in these reviews are saying proudly that they're top 500, lol sweetie we all are.) This lack of playerbase leads to the biggest issue of playing on NA servers: the queue times. In the earlier ranks, queues will be manageable because the lobbies are completely full of bots, but when you get to higher ranks they become ridiculous. Outside of peak gameplay times, I struggle to get games at all and regularly wait 15-30 min and straight up have my queue time out. During more popular times its still a dice roll whether the queue will pop within 10-15 min. When I do get into a game, its with the same 10 people who I see over and over, the top ranked people on the server because those are the only people who play the game in NA. This obviously gets tiring quickly. It's a shame because if the game had a healthy population in the west it would be a blast. Its possible to play on the Chinese server with some workaround but if you are in the US the ping will be very high. However, the queue times are only 1-2 min at all times and the lobby is full of actual players. It creates a sad dilemma for NA/EU players, would you rather maybe get 1 game an hour on low ping or play regularly but with very high ping? Based on the gameplay alone I recommend just checking it out, it is free, and even fighting bots is fun. I hope that it picks up steam in the west, However at this point I'm not sure I see that happening :(

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is one of the most unique battle royale games I've played. The melee-focused combat is what makes it stand out. Instead of just shooting from a distance, fights are fast, intense, and require good timing, movement, and mind games. Winning a duel feels incredibly satisfying. The movement system is also a huge part of the fun. Grappling around the map, chasing enemies, escaping bad situations, and pulling off plays that look straight out of an action movie never gets old. The learning curve can be rough at first, and you'll probably get destroyed by experienced players while learning the combat. But once everything starts clicking, the game becomes very rewarding. The visuals, character designs, and overall style are also great and help the game stand out from other battle royales. Not the easiest game to get into, but definitely one of the most unique and satisfying once you do.
I do not recommend this game. The menu is a total mess -there are 154 different windows, panels, and buttons. You’ll never figure out where anything is. You have to claim rewards in 15 different windows, though I’m not even sure what you’re being rewarded for half the time. Every single window and panel has a "Buy" offer-it’s all just about getting you to spend your money. In the game itself, you run into puzzles written in Chinese! Don't know Chinese? Too bad, you won't be able to solve them. I actually like the core concept of the game, although the mechanics haven’t really changed much in a year. The only thing that has changed is the new ways they’ve come up with to squeeze more money out of you. I don't even know which mode lets you play against other players. Why? Because the menu is a complete spaghetti nightmare.
Too many technical problems. Frequent crashes made it almost impossible to enjoy.
These devs are also the most greedy pieces of ♥♥♥♥. There is so many dark patterns in this game it banishes any gacha, ubislop and electronic trash game into the shadowrealm. Like wtf. Why are we asking people if they really wanna close the game. Why do I have to buy a version with your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in game currency to play private matches???? AND WHAT IS THE POINT OF THAT IF THERE IS NO CROSS-PROGRESSION????? I have around 300 hours on my Xbox/Windows Account and spend almost 100€ on this game. Heck I even bought the game before it became f2p. WHY CAN I NOT CARRY THAT OVER TO STEAM? WHY DOES THE STEAM VERSION RUN BETTER? WHY IS THERE NO SERVICE FOR ACCOUNT TRANSFER??? IT IS THE SAME ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME ON BOTH PLATFORMS???? YOOOOOOUU HAVE THE DATA OF WHAT IS IN MY ACCOUNT?`WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ CAN I NOT JUST LOGIN WITH IT????? Then you have the audacity to flood this game with bots who can't even understand what a wall is let alone do a single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ combo. I had literally enough of this ♥♥♥♥. ♥♥♥♥ THIS GAME AND ITS DEVS. And the best part is that there is a good game underneath the huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Burj-Khalifa-sized pile of stinking wet poop. It literally just needs 3 things to address these issues 1. Cross Progression 2. Less dark patterns and less convoluted UI 3. Bots being marked as bots Bonus: Stop putting Bronze V players in a lobby with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Asura players
a cool chinese game that was almost always sold at a 95% discount, but now I see it completely free. I can't give a negative comment to this creature just because it's completely not my type of game where you need to fight. this game has its own interesting story, wonderful valuable animations, great characters and objects, don't forget about the very beautiful donation skins.. expensive
