Nacht-sama is quitting being the demon king!, developed by 地蔵サバイバルナイト and published by Hanabi Games, presents itself as a retro-inspired RPG but is, in practice, far closer to a linear, dialogue-driven visual novel with light interactive elements. It opens with a familiar fantasy setup—an all-powerful demon lord betrayed by her own subordinates—but quickly shifts into a time-loop narrative where the protagonist, Nacht, repeatedly rewinds events in an attempt to prevent her downfall. This premise gives the game a sense of structure and forward momentum, even if the way it unfolds is more guided than it initially suggests. The story is the primary focus, and much of the experience is spent progressing through conversations, character interactions, and scripted sequences. Nacht herself is a defining presence, characterized by an exaggerated, confident personality that often borders on comedic arrogance. Her reactions to events, combined with the absurdity of certain situations, give the game a tone that oscillates between lighthearted humor and more serious undertones. The time-loop concept allows the narrative to revisit key moments from different angles, gradually revealing the causes behind her betrayal, though the progression remains largely fixed rather than branching in meaningful ways. While the game hints at RPG mechanics such as exploration and combat, these elements are minimal and serve more as framing devices than core systems. Movement is limited, and encounters are simplified to the point where they rarely require strategic thinking. Instead of offering deep gameplay, these sections act as brief interruptions between story segments, reinforcing the idea that the game’s true focus lies in its narrative and character-driven scenes. This makes the experience easy to follow and accessible, but it also means that players expecting traditional RPG depth may find it lacking. Pacing reflects this design philosophy. The game is relatively short, and its linear progression ensures that it rarely overstays its welcome. The time-loop structure provides a sense of repetition with variation, but because outcomes tend to converge rather than diverge, the feeling of player agency is somewhat limited. Still, the compact runtime works in the game’s favor, keeping the experience concise and preventing its mechanics from becoming overly repetitive. Visually, the game stands out through its contrast between simple pixel-based exploration segments and more detailed character illustrations. The artwork is expressive and clearly designed to highlight character personalities, particularly in dialogue scenes where much of the emotional weight is carried. The overall presentation is consistent enough to maintain immersion, even if the shift between styles can feel slightly uneven. Sound design supports the experience adequately, with music that complements both the comedic and dramatic moments, though the lack of voice acting is noticeable given the heavy emphasis on dialogue. A significant aspect of the game is its inclusion of mature-themed content, which is deeply integrated into both the narrative and progression. Rather than being optional, these elements are a central part of the experience, shaping how scenes unfold and what players are encouraged to pursue. This clearly defines the game’s target audience and contributes to its identity, but it also narrows its appeal, as those uninterested in this aspect may find little incentive to engage with the rest of the content. Despite its limitations, the game manages to maintain a certain charm through its tone and character writing. Nacht’s personality carries much of the experience, and while the humor can be inconsistent, it often provides moments of levity that break up the more repetitive aspects of the structure. There is a sense that the game is fully aware of what it wants to deliver, even if that vision comes at the cost of depth and variety. Ultimately, Nacht-sama is quitting being the demon king! is best understood as a short, character-focused visual novel with light RPG elements rather than a full-fledged role-playing game. It prioritizes storytelling, personality, and niche appeal over mechanical complexity or player-driven outcomes. For those aligned with its style and themes, it offers a compact and occasionally entertaining experience. For others, particularly those seeking deeper gameplay or meaningful choice, it may feel limited in scope. Rating: 7/10
Noelle Does Her Best. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1724320/Noelle_Does_Her_Best/ P.S. Главная героиня напоминает короля демонов из That Time I Got Reincarnated as an Orc https://store.steampowered.com/app/1516080/That_Time_I_Got_Reincarnated_as_an_Orc/

Good character and fun story. Also was really impressed by the extra effort put into the credits at the end.
官网的补丁不支持中文,令人发笑,只有非中文才能进入memory room😓
Bought the game on a discount. Was hoping for an experience with some story. It is EXTREMLY SHORT. Took me 45 minutes to beat the game. Some positive point about it tho : - The OST is ON POINT. Litteraly. Every music in perfectly chosen for what's happening. And i cannot insist enough on HOW important the music is important in films, series or even video games. - The humour ... Damn. On point too. And i must admit, that's what i'm most disappointed. Like ... You have a gold mine of potential but nothing is exploited. This game is just a massive pile of hentaï content. If i wanted to have hentaï ... I just have to search some Rule34 :s Anyway. The game could be worth it for 2 or 3€ MAX. But not 12, even 8€ is overpriced.
Very funny game! The characters are really lovable and the main character, Nacht, becomes someone who you love to see beat the enemies. The NSFW scenes are good, Nacht is a brat and you gonna love seeing whats coming to her. The art is very well drawn! Get this game if you love a fun NSFW RPG that dosent take it self seriously!
