My Singing Monsters

Highly recommend this game to anyone who loves music and idle games, of all ages. Slow but extremely satisfying progression. It should not be this addicting to just unlock new animated little guys to play instruments in a predetermined track for you, but it's so well constructed it's hard not to love, especially if you have a completionist/collector's mindset. Devs are also very hands on and communicate with their audience+release new content very regularly, even with the game being over a decade old. The sales pitches for microtransactions can get kind of annoying, but unlike a lot of FTP games with in app purchases, you can access the entire game without paying a dime if you're actually willing to play an idle game the way you're intended to. They also give you ample opportunities to generate the paid currency for free, and once you're past very early game it's a pretty decent chunk. This considered, I might say I recommend it to adults more despite the kid friendly veneer, because kids are less likely to see how unnecessary paying for anything in this game is, but then again adults are more likely to have the money to justify it so... Idk. Play this with your whole family. Just control yourselves.
