the game just shoves you right into 10 keys, and i cant get used to the controls at all. i wish the game would start you off with fewer keys so that you can actually know what you're doing. the best parallel i can give for this game is like removing easy, normal, and hard difficulties on beat saber and expecting new players to do expert right away and get the hang of things. sure most players can complete expert levels, but they had to actually be able to use the controls first. maybe im dumb, maybe i should play the game longer, but i dont feel like trying to learn these controls when there's no real way of learning them besides brute forcing my way through the game a tutorial would go a really long way, and i would definitely revisit this game and rewrite this review if there is some way of teaching new players implemented into the game

Great game, looking forward to more updates in the future.
it is terrible it is impossible to get every note in a song
"MusicWave" is an incredibly weak abandoned Early Access guitar hero ripoff with a focus on crappy EDM that nobody wants to listen to. It failed badly, because, you know, turns out nobody wants a minimalist Guitar Hero ripoff for EDM. Seeing their failure, the developer abandoned the game. The developers abandoned this 4 years and 11 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. That doesn't mean it's okay not to bother! Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money on high end gaming rigs for a reason. And that reason is not so they can look at lazy, phoned-in half efforts like this. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 9 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Great game over all, been looking for a new rhythm game to play and i found this. I love the way you have to use all of your fingers, but personally i had to change the thumb keys to v and n just because its more comfortable. The only recommendation i would make is a calibration system for the notes because i end up missing so many due to the music not being in sync with the keys.
it don't line up
Cool concept for a game but it is overly complicated to make custom songs and the help pages for the game are no longer available. You can't make music inside the game like they make it seem in the video (the whole reason i wanted to try it) and unless you have some sort of special 10 finger controller it is extremely uncomfortable to play on a keyboard and impossible to progress past the first two beginner songs that are pretty fast.
I liked the idea of this game when it originally came out, I was actually even in touch with the developer himself through twitter and was excited when it finally came out, but since then it has been completely abandoned, it's sad he was never able to keep working on it and abandoned it.
