Ms. Holmes: The Monster of the Baskervilles Collector's Edition

A very solid HOG. Not too easy, not too hard. A little on the short side, but it didn't drag.

Good relaxing game.

Hat Spaß gemacht. Die Story an sich ist recht simpel gestrickt, aber die Rätsel und Aufgaben sind dafür ziemlich abwechslungsreich. Auch das Bonuskapitel war ganz nett. Dank des Hardcore-Modus, bei dem rein gar nichts angezeigt wird, hatte ich etwas länger von dem Spiel.

The game moves along at a good pace and is well thought out. I'd say it is fun to play and I hope Big Fish games makes more. The did a great job on the older motorcycle and gave it a two stroke sound.

There's a lot of good things about this game, but there are a few things holding it back from being truly great that I felt could have easily been fixed if the developers had put more thought in. First of all, the artwork and atmosphere is worderously gothic and it fits the tone of the original novel so well that was very gothic in itself. The story is good and I like that a lot of thought went into it. Even more than most HOPA games. The bad is that the game glitches out on my several times, mind you I was able to refix it by turning the game off and back on, but it was still annoying. I felt while most puzzles were good, some had some clunky and confusing designs and instructions. I had to skip some because I just couldn't figure them out by their instructions. I had no clue what the game wanted me to do. But other than that I do recommend this game for the art and story alone.

Je recommande ce jeu, malgrés qu'ont ne puisse pas mettre en français les sous-titres. Alors que le jeu sur mobile et sous-titré en français.

Das Spiel ein sich ist okay nur viiieel zu kurz...das Spiel inkl. Bonusangebote habe ich in 5 Stunden durch. Für Zwischendurch mal spielen ist es gut, nur habe ich tatsächlich ein längeres Spiel erwartet.

As a nice introduction to HOPA games, Ms. Holmes: TMBCE is fun and easy while also requiring some lateral thinking. There are times where the puzzles seem somewhat redundant based on the tools in the immediate environment however. I've also experienced a few crashes from a specific scene and some random bugs that have smoothed themselves out. There are some times where there are some inaccurate or completely lacking subtitles too, sadly. Though not a perfect game, it has an intriguing narrative, fun characters and solid puzzles- I was definitely challenged and pleasantly surprised by the plots direction.
