Movie Quest

Buggy, missing features, but still had a fun couple hours enjoying Guns of Eden with some friends. Great game for the price, looking forward to seeing what the developer does with this! It was a cool experience.

It's a cool idea. The ability to watch some public domain movies with others, and maybe do some side quests if you want. There isn't much at the moment in terms of quests, but it is early access. You are required to create an account and a player , but it's simple. If you want to check out some random movies, it's worth it especially on sale. I hope the developer (who seems to respond to people fairly often) continues working on it, because it is a very cool idea and a fun way to watch some films you may have not seen before.

Tbh, the dev behind this mistreated me really badly after I thumbed down this so .. Cannot recommend this. I wish cyberbullies would be dealt with more severely to be honest as some people might be very lonely and to deal with monsters like that well .. Its just not good behaviour at all. But we have to deal with monsters on a daily basis but the fact is that there is no safeguarding for good people anymore but the laws are only to safeguard the evil .. Thats just wrong I would say. The dev had edited his post under my review here, and the first one was much nastier. Just in order to seem ok. He had actually put up a middle finger up in ascii code there too so .. Just so you know what kind of person is behind this.

Updated review: Glad I didn't refund this game. The developer has put in the work and fixed a lot of the issues I was having. Everything runs smoother and the only issue I have had is disconnects, but I'ts probably my ISP. Keep up the good work dev. Old Review: If this game had cost anymore, I would have requested a refund. I never got far into it. For some reason while walking around the lobby, the controls messed up and I could no longer walk. I logged out and back in and I kept getting a connection refused error, even than I was running a LAN game. I closed the game and went back in to watch a movie, and the game crashed twice. Im not going to refund in the hopes that there will be some improvements.

pretty fun little movie theatre game. would be cool if more people were on but you can set up custom lobbies with your friends if you want.

10/10 More Nerve-wracking than Phasmo.

GAME APPEARS DEAD - was going good beforehand. It had a lot of promise, it was taking shape as a multiplex with a range of movie options and other amenities. The bar looked good, the cinemas looked great, would have liked to have had the option of your character sitting still when seated in a cinema. It was cool to go into a cinema and actually see a movie playing, the three stooges movie is a great choice of comedy along with the other selections. Unfortunately it appears that the game has been abandoned, there's no topics existing, just packed up and left without a goodbye.

**UPDATED** The developer has been pouring their heart into a game that is not just flipped assets and trying their best to make it enjoyable. I am still excited to see the final product despite it not being quite there yet. I am a movie buff, personally, so I enjoy this bit of escapism from time to time. _________________________ I don't hate the idea. Just waiting for it to be more fleshed out. So far not worth purchasing unless you like old movies you can watch on YouTube for free anyway. Would love for some mini games to be playable in the arcade. Cosmetics are fun. Good for a bit of escapism.
