i feel very conflicted about this game. it does a stellar job at building an unsettling atmosphere. there are some genuinely horrifying moments. the visuals and sound design are fantastic. the characters feel grounded in reality. the downside is that there are multiple segments that, for me, really disrupted the pacing and ground the narrative to a complete halt. there's one part in particular that i just got completely stuck on and all of a sudden i wasn't enjoying watching the story unfold anymore and instead getting frustrated trying to work out what the game wanted me to do to progress through an abstract puzzle room. it kinda lost me towards the end, unfortunately. i'm still going back and forth on whether i'd actually recommend it to people. ultimately i do think that the good parts outweigh the shaky ones. it's a very unique game and there is a lot to appreciate about it. i'd say pick it up in a sale if possible and see what you think.
