Mouthwashing

This was a tough one to sit through. It is very depressing, very psychological in its horror. I hated the back and forth story telling of past and future events. I don't mind it being used for flashbacks in story telling but this game its every single scene your going back and forth between past and future/present. Not a fan of that. The story is super grim and depressing so be prepared for that I suppose. Otherwise the game has some good retro style art and this game defiantly nails its atmosphere. I give this a middle of the road recommendation if i could, id say a yes for recommendation as it is good for what it is, i just didn't care for the storytelling personally.

One of the coolest story driven games I've ever played.

Deep symbolism, environmental storytelling, characters with depth, flaws and all, plus a just a little bit of psychological horror. This might be mouthwashing. :)

I really enjoyed mouthwashing. It has a short but memorable story. The gameplay is simple adventure game stuff. Very few sections where you can actually die. Just mainly wandering around talking to people and finding items. This game is all about the story with themes of guilt, regret, and horror. It's told in non-chronological order which feeds you just enough information to keep you interested and shocked at the turn of events. The graphics are really cool. I love the retro art style and how it adds to the horror disturbing trippy vibe. The music and sound effects are simple but effective. The length of the game is three hours which I think is about perfect for this type of story.
