muito top
Good game, especially on sale.
great game
NetherRealm Studios made a fighting game and then remembered they also need to monetize every breath players take. MK1 is what happens when you've got a solid foundation and then bury it under cosmetic DLC, battle pass grinds, paid fatalities (yes, really), and a PC port that's actively hostile to anyone trying to run it. The core fighting is actually fine — it's familiar dial-a-combo MK on a prettier engine. But everything surrounding it exists to either milk you or frustrate you into submission. The story mode is competent at best, the character roster feels lean compared to MK11, and the whole thing was supposedly a "soft reboot" that managed to be less ambitious than a game that came out in 2019. The gore is weirdly toned down (seriously, who asked for that in a Mortal Kombat game?), the Kameo assist system is janky, and there's no cross-play because Warner Bros. wants to keep you on a specific platform. On PC, the performance is a dumpster fire. High-end rigs stutter, menu loads are glacial, and you get a benchmarking screen before every online match for reasons nobody can explain. It's a decade-old engine running like it learned to code from a self-help book. By April 2024, the Steam player count had collapsed to subsistence levels. The competitive community migrated back to MK11 or over to Street Fighter 6. It's not that MK1 is broken — it's that it's cynically designed and half-finished while demanding your $60 and constant nibbles at your wallet. Play Street Fighter 6 instead. It costs the same, respects your time, and doesn't act like it's punishing you for owning a PC.
