About

You wake up aboard The Orpheus, a derelict warship lost in deep space and crawling with horrors. No memory. Only the instinct to fight and a voice urging you forward. The ship shifts around you, the enemies never stop, and survival means battling through blood-soaked corridors to uncover what lies ahead.
Set in a haunting, low-poly world with crunchy pixel textures, Moros Protocol blends fast-paced combat of classic '90s and early 2000s FPS games, the unpredictability of genre-defining roguelites, and the challenge of Souls-like boss fights. Battle relentless enemies and towering nightmares in a brutal test of skill and willpower. With procedurally generated levels, evolving threats, and intense action, survival is never guaranteed.
The ship is a war zone. The enemy is endless. The odds are against you.
You may be outnumbered, but you are not outmatched.
Moros Protocol combines relentless action with adaptability and customization. Shape your loadout and let the augments and weapons you find dictate your fighting style. And yes, you can kick your enemies.
Death is only the beginning. Learn, upgrade, and push further into the unknown. Each run is shaped by a combination of handcrafted environments and procedural generation. New layouts. New challenges to face. No two runs will feel the same.
A gritty, immersive world that blends retro aesthetics with modern rendering, creating a decayed sci-fi atmosphere. Dynamic lighting and eerie sound design heighten the tension as you explore the abandoned warship.
Team up with a friend for backup. Adapt and survive together as you battle through the nightmare. Experience the full game side by side, sharing the fight against the enemy.
Message from Pixel Reign: Moros Protocol has been a passion project that started back in 2010 as a concept, which we have been working on for the last 5 years to bring it to life. We are really excited to finally be able to share our vision with you and hope you enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed making it.
Moros Protocol is inspired by some amazing games: DOOM, System Shock, Binding of Isaac, and many other amazing retro-futuristic first-person shooters. Check them out too if you have not already!

每一局都有一点不一样,所以不会特别容易腻,这就是肉鸽FPS的魅力。
Really good Roguelite-FPS with a charming retro style and some good game design ideas. One thing I especially enjoyed was that this game will not start you from the very first level on every single run. Instead, there are "chapters" of sorts (tied to the story) and once you clear one chapter, all subsequent runs will start further. This removes that old Roguelite issue where you start stronger and stronger (due to meta improvements) but always have to waste time on the first few levels - which by now would be way too easy for you.
It's ok, but it really is a little too simple for my liking. The pew pew weapon sounds need more balls!! The aesthetics are mostly great though!
Once you get going pretty good, nice upgrade system.
Almost refunded after about 20 minutes - I got it on 50% special. It seemed just too simple and rooms too small, and as one other reviewer said - it seemed to have roguelite thing tacked on fairly solid FPS. Now that I think of it, I might've been biased, but I felt the same: took me awhile to find a ranged weapon in the first place, and the rooms were basically 10x10 meters in size. I did play through the tutorial and I did notice there's a perma-upgrade tree, but I was more interested to see what kind of builds I can make and how does the shooting feel like. This is, in my opinion, the biggest failure of this game - it hides its 'meat' from you, and has people like me who thrive on these kinds of games almost refund. First of all - as you go through your runs, you'll unlock a fair bit of equipment. Its not shown anywhere I could find, so until I pushed myself to complete at least one run (thinking, 13$ isn't that bad and FPS feels decent) - I didn't even know there are new augments and items to unlock. Second - it is slightly more complex than it presents, and that's because it won't hold your hand. For example, I didn't immediately notice that stash rooms have special symbol on the doors, and tutorial doesn't say it either. Third - some augments are marked as implants, and only after I installed one I realized what's the difference. Fourth - some weapons carry WILD abilities, for example I found a sword that heals when I kill stuff with it. But those are high-tier weapons and you don't even know this is possible unless you have a lucky RNG or play long enough to see it. Fifth - the can be very, very vertical, and they expand in size fairly quickly! No more than 30-40 minutes in, I was running in a giant room with multiple levels and about 20-30 enemies - so fights aren't just 10-20 second ordeals, there's multiple gun/run/hide/be tactical loops even in a single battle. Then, the aguments and perma upgrades might seem like they're just boosting your numbers, and its true, they do - but with some combinations of weapons and augments it'll change your playstyle. For example, I tried out running into everyone's face and meleeing them - totally possible. I tried sniping (with a crossbow) from a hiding spot, then running to a next one - also possible. I tried grenades, weakpoint based pistol, and it all works and its all _FUN_. I mean I could go on but what for? If you're sitting on the fence, buy the game, set the timer, see if its for you and if it isn't - refund it. I'm keeping it, I like it quite a bit. Its not the best that I played in the genre (like eg. Roboquest, GTTOD, Doom Eternal Horde), but its far, far from the worst, and absolutely deserves time of a every self-proclaimed FPS roguelike lover. And seriously, its cheap to boot for what it offers.
