I am in love with the gameplay loop of this game. This entry for the monster hunter series was monumental. Many of my friends and I included hadn't seriously played a monster hunter game before, but we all played it on playstation back before even iceborne was released. There's much to love about this game, from the rewarding questing system, a good and fair progression system (Armor and Weapon upgrades through monster parts), but more importantly is a heavily supported game by the developers. The development team despite working on multiple entries, have delivered on major updates to the game and various patches. The game has dated graphics but is completely fair considering the time period of release. Many of my complaints of the game come from the technical limitations Ex: loading screens. I have yet to play monster hunter wilds, but once I wrap up this game, I will give it a try. Definitely worth picking up on sale or in a bundle.
