Игра "Moi Moi Heroes" приятно удивила своей простой, но затягивающей механикой. С первого взгляда казуальная защита башни обманчива - игра требует тактического мышления и быстрого реагирования. Графика милая и яркая, дизайн персонажей запоминающийся, каждый "Moi Moi" обладает уникальными способностями, которые нужно грамотно использовать для защиты кристалла. По мере прохождения уровни становятся все сложнее, требуя от игрока экспериментов с различными комбинациями юнитов и тактиками. Нельзя просто закликивать экран, приходится адаптироваться к новым типам врагов и их способностям. Радует, что есть система улучшений, позволяющая прокачивать героев и делать их сильнее. Несмотря на кажущуюся простоту, игра очень реиграбельна. Хочется вернуться и попробовать разные стратегии, открыть всех героев и пройти все уровни на максимальной сложности. Единственный минус - иногда присутствует однообразие в визуальном оформлении локаций, но это компенсируется динамичным геймплеем и постоянным появлением новых вызовов. В целом, "Moi Moi Heroes" - отличная игра для тех, кто ищет увлекательную и нетребовательную time-killer игру.

"Moi Moi Heroes" is a 3D platformer with a vague Easter Island theme, cartoony low poly graphics and a console-esque design ethos. Also, importantly, this is abandoned Early Access pollution that will never be a complete game. In this case, perhaps unfortunately. What do you do in the game? 3D platforming, think Super Mario 3D only a bit shallower and also incomplete. I'm wondering if this is a student project, because the production values are more on par with Digipen than your average amateur dev. Either way, if you download this, you'll get a buggy, incomplete and abandoned game experience. Not good. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 7 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. On the important subject of visuals, this features fairly low quality stylised/cartoony low poly 3D graphics. It comes across as the kind of thing you see on mobile phones and Nintendo games, which will deter a lot of PC gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and to be considered one of the best games on Steam, the graphics have to be some of the best on Steam. That's not happening here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 8 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. There's no financial cost up-front, but you'd still be spending your time and a little hard drive space on a product that's far from the best. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam.
