This game, although short, is a gem. It’s perfect for unwinding and relaxing after an intense meeting. I love it. I encourage you to try it; in just 20 minutes, you’ll have guaranteed fun.🎮
Good Game! It was a student project, which, having just finished taking a game design class myself, it's really impressive that they were able to churn out something of this quality, even given that they had 9 months. The art alone is phenomenal, reason alone to get the game just to see it. And the camera work with the shifting fixed perspective is really cool and cinematic. The main game play mechanics feature movement puzzles and combat. The combat is fun. I like that there are a bunch of different combat mechanics that get introduced over the course of the game so that it never gets stale. The movement puzzles are simple, but they're not the main focus of the game, so that makes sense. They add just enough thought to moving around the map that walking to the next fight doesn't feel like a lull in the game play. They really did that extra bit to make moving through the city feel like an infiltration, and not just a new area. The game play together with the opening cut-scene help get the story across in a good show-don't-tell kind of way. One change I would have made is adding a closing cut-scene showing how defeating the final boss directly leads to rescuing your beast friends, because while one would assume that beating the final boss implies achieving the goal the story says you have, it really feels like there's a story beat missing to connect those two events. There's not an obvious cause and effect between them, making the story feel incomplete, like we didn't actually achieve the goal. I feel like a closing cut-scene could have bridged that gap. Also maybe if more of the monster friends were flying behind you in the closing credits, instead of just the one you're riding on. It makes it look like you only rescued one of them, instead of all of them, which was the implied goal. Other than that, great game! Despite my critiques, I definitely recommend it. It took me just shy of an hour to play through the whole thing. Twas a nice way to have a little fun in the evening.

My only two criticism is looping music is too short making it awkward and camera angles occasionally placed bad. Other than that it was a great fun of 25ish minutes experience for me. Good luck in your careers.
This is a great little game. It only took 30 minutes to get to the end, there was no plot and it was very linear, but it was great fun and the artwork was wonderful. For a free game, it was excellent.
Very Pretty but otherwise largely not worth it This seems to have been a student project, so i dont wanna be too harsh. The Look and art design of the game is very nice to look at and everything is very smooth(if surprisingly hardware intensive). But actually playing it is not very fun. The entire game is just two things - Walking through the pretty environments in fixed camera perspectives and fighting - and the fighting is just bad. There is ZERO hit feedback, it feels like you are hitting feathers, not robots. Also even with the very short demo-like length it already becomes quite monotonous. The design of the boss is quite fun, i did enjoy that.
Short but sweet, neat action sidescroller with little story. Not much more to say.
If crash bandicoot and skylanders had a baby. Very cute, easy to pick up, easy to work out the little puzzles and defeat the bad guys. Excellent sound design and a really engaging boss fight. Controls are a tad clunky and the graphics a bit sharp BUT I had a lot of fun playing for the 20 minutes it took me to beat this game def worth a try if you're boted.
Mirlo Above the Sun Positives: + Good idea + Artistic + Beautiful graphics + Very good level design + Good sound and music + Easy combat + Varied landscapes + Good platforming + Fun to play + Its free Negatives: - Blurred graphics on the first level - Ever changing camera angle is not the best solution - Not so keyboard/mouse friendly - A few bugs - Its very short (over in half an hour) A really fun, beautiful and artistic looking game. Its way too short, but its well worth the play and its free as well. Highly recommended! Total Score: 8/10
Pô jogo daorinha, fazia tempo que eu não me sentia jogando um jogo nostálgico tipo de PS2 sabe? Baita sensação boa e relaxante. Mecânica imersiva.
