About
Deep within a top-secret underground facility on floor B9, you have successfully developed the vaccine for the zombie virus. Immediately after, the facility is overrun by the infected. Your mission is clear: Protect the vaccine and reach the rescue helicopter on the surface.
Minus Nine is a survival shooter that combines classic arcade action with the strategic depth of a roguelite, presented in a Top-down Isometric View.
Explore to Survive Your journey begins at -9F. The layout of the facility changes every run through procedural generation. Utilize the isometric perspective to plan your route and locate hidden Generators in the dark. Only when full power is restored will the elevator gates to the next floor unlock.
Strategic Combat & Upgrades Ammo and health are scarce resources. Eliminate the zombie hordes and extract "Bio-Samples" from them. Use these samples at the Rest Area—the elevator between floors—to upgrade your Damage, Health, Ammo Capacity, and Speed.
Death and Rebirth Death is part of the process. If you fall to the infected, you will lose your gear and wake up back at -9F. But do not give up. Your skills and experience are the only keys to escaping this hell.
Procedural Generation: A constantly changing labyrinth with randomized enemy spawns.
Isometric Action: Tactical top-down gameplay that requires precise aiming and positioning.
Upgrade System: Enhance 4 core stats (Health, Damage, Ammo, Speed) using Bio-Samples.
Intense Atmosphere: Dark underground environments, dynamic line-of-sight mechanics, and immersive sound design.

This game is awful and not fun at all. - The game play is pretty basic. Shoot zombies, find generators to power an elevator, get to the elevator to move to the next floor, rinse and repeat. Its not a bad gameplay loop, especially for being a free game. But my other points will give you an idea why this is a bad thing - The gameplay, although basic, is incredibly unforgiving. Not even in a challenging but fun kind. If you reach zero health points, the game is over and you have to start all the way at the beginning of the game. It is tedious and frustrating. - The zombie spawns make no sense from a gameplay perspective. The hallways and rooms are small and tight, causing you to just hold out in a random room till you eventually clear them all out. But the catch is that the variations of zombies are downright unfair. There's one zombie variant that will blow up if you even so much as touch him, and if you're stuck in a corridor or small room then you lose 50 hp. The explosion even goes through walls - Why in the hell am I restricted to using one weapon till I need to reload. Am I playing as Korean John Wick where I decide to just keep switching weapons every time it runs out of ammo? I can't even decide what weapon to use. Then again, I suppose if I could, I would just run in with a bazooka and blow them all away. This is still tedious and annoying to deal with and I should not have to do this type of micro management for a free to play arcade shooter. - The RNG is incredibly jank. At one point I had to restart all because a wall generated in front of a door essentially soft locking me from progressing. Granted I could have just stuck it out and gotten the achievement for getting all the upgrades to max but that brings me to my final point - The music. Dear God the music. Am I some regular civilian? Solider? Or am I Korean John Wick. I'm not sure if its because I decided to play this late at night but it began to give me a headache. Do not bother with this game. I am more than happy to change my review if this game gets improved. But for now, I am only going to stick with this game for its achievements. Do not be a masochist like me.

I've been playing this game on and off for 3 days now, and I finally got a run that was good, I was locked in and trying to win just to come face to face with a bug, the room to the elevator has no entrance to it, i've tried everything to get in but there is no way in sometimes with the random generation.
Best game. Can't wait for MP.
