I'm really enjoying this game. I totally recomend it. This game is perfect for people that loves platform games, but it is also playable for everyone. It has levels created by the developers with a basic difficulty, but the main feature of this game is the posibility to create and share levels. In this section, I have found levels very different from each other. I really enjoy fast levels with very few movements, but there are levels with great stories. This is were I was more surprised. The editor is not like the typical one in this kind of games. You have a lot of tools to create events, stories, dialogues and other stuff!! I use to play levels created by other people, but I don't usually enjoy creating them. In this case, it was different. I created very skilled levels which took me hours to clear and share. And I had the reward for it. The level is considered very difficult (based on the nº of people that have try it I guess?). It reminds me two games. Trackmania and RPG maker (which I spent hours and hours)... but in a platfom game! As I said, I totally recomend the game,
If you've been hooked on Mario Maker and/or want an endless stream of sidescrolling platforming and combat challenges, this one is worth checking out. It's hard to say at this point how long users and creators will keep pumping in content, but for now there's plenty to sink your teeth into. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_vJqBK24Ws Not only can users create levels, but can create entire mini-campaigns, allowing for a themed set of levels that other users can play. Users can then decide if they enjoyed the content, and also tag it appropriately so other players can find it in their searches. The only downfall is that I really enjoyed the tone of the game in the tutorial and wish there was more developer-made story mode, even just 3 or so hours, but it's a minor gripe based on the quality of user-made levels I've seen.

(Review originally written for www.gamesfreezer.co.uk) Playing like an Indie version of Mario Maker (MM) with a fantastical ancient Greek theme, Million to One Hero (MTOH) adds a twist on things by also throwing in the ability to add a narrative to your tale, something which works well and adds depth to your created adventures. It's going to be hard to not mention Mario Maker throughout this review as it is clearly such a touchstone for Over The Top Games' title. Effectively split into two halves, MTOH has a fully functioning platforming side complete with a story as well as the ability to play one of the hundreds (and growing) user-created stages which range from gentle and casual to twitch-tastic. There is also the creation side which is surprisingly easy to pick up, I designed a couple of levels within minutes and they were fun to play though with friends (the game supports up to four-player local co-op, which is VERY cool. The sense of humour that runs through the game works with the Greek theme, Epicus is the main character and has the usual wall climbing, slashing and air-dash abilities you'd expect in a motion-propelled platform game and traversing the game world is fun. I especially liked the ability to add 'cinematics' and dialogue between the characters to give your own style to the adventures that you create. You can add dozens of traps, pick-ups, golden orbs (the MTOH version of coins) and switch-based puzzles (there's an advanced section of the creation engine that delves deep into more complex puzzles) and you can alter the zone and music to one of the six in-game tracks to suit the mood of your level, whether it be an underwater stage; leaping across crumbling platforms in the sky or a dark dungeon area. The only thing I noticed that you can't alter at all are the character sprites as well as providing your own music (although the developers are constantly adding tweaks and so this could be changed in the future, although I'm not sure). You'll see a lot of the functionality here that is in MM from online leader-boards for speedruns to highest voted levels and super-challenging runs that will push your skills and patience to the limit. I'm honestly shocked at how fully-fleshed out and well-designed Million to One Hero is, the game play is sheer pixelated fun and the creation engine means you can really do a lot with what is on offer. A great way to dive into making your own levels and if you do, please feel free to share them with me as I really do find the ability to create dialogue and a through-narrative a nice twist on the genre, you should definitely check out the free demo if any of this gets your creative / platforming juices flowing. Right, I'm off to have an 'Epicus' adventure.
This game is super fun! Lately I've been watching a ton of Super Mario Maker 2 wishing that I could play it (or something of equal quality) on PC, and then I found out about this! I really hope this takes off because it could seriously be something special if we get a big userbase
Great platformer with a lot of community made levels.
Real great fun. The level editor for this game is easy as pie which makes it very accessible even for making complex levels. In my opinion it's a bit short of content and variety for a sandbox game... this limits your possibilities, however not many games let you make your own adventures so easily. +++
I would highly recommend this game to fans of platformers. Very polished with its own distinct style, an absulty amazing level editor giving the necessary tools to someone to create an original level,a GREAT soundtrack and lots of toys to play with. Personally what i appreciated most is that it didnt try to imitate other more classic platformers and introduced new mechanics especially in level editing that gives you the liberty to make/experience something fresh and unique. A big thumbs up for the ancient Greece setting, hasnt been used too often and seems to work wonderfully. My one and only complaint is the limited selection of stages and the unpopularity of the game (fully justifiable by its age and development stage), i find it hard spending time perfecting a level that so few people will ultimately enjoy.
Very nice game. Long time since I enjoyed a platformer this much. Has nice graphics and animations. The other good thing is that this game continues to grow with user levels. Very powerful and easy to learn level editor. You can program with gates to make unique challenges in your levels. Really hope that this game continue to grow and gets more players.
This game is a mario maker-like. Create your own stages or play some stage created by someone else, or play the ones already in the game, goes from Easy to Hard, to puzzle to reflex-speed stages. Overall a good game, works with keyboard and mouse but I recommend playing with a controller if possible.
