The nemesis system is fantastic, and provides a super memorable set of enemies creating a satisfying playthrough loop. Where this game falters is everything surrounding it. The combat can be very clunky, same for platforming. I enjoyed the smaller nature of the map, but the lack of eye grabbing set pieces made it feel samey for the most part. The story, especially the ending, was a super large let down and made the game feel more like a prologue demo for the next game than its own product. I wish steam had a "meh" recommendation for games like this.
