Metal Strike is a straightforward cooperative shooter that I found enjoyable mainly because it does not waste much time before putting me into the action. The setting is a post apocalyptic Earth where humanity has been forced away from the planet by hostile artificial intelligence, and I return with a small group to try to reclaim it. I liked the basic setup because it gives the simple shooting gameplay a clear purpose. The combat is built around third person shooting and fighting mechanized monsters across the campaign stages. I can choose between several different guns, and the basic controls make movement and shooting easy to understand. I enjoyed the straightforward approach because the game feels more like a compact action experience than a complicated tactical shooter. Cooperation is where I think Metal Strike becomes more interesting. Up to a small group can play together, and reviving fallen teammates becomes especially important when the difficulty starts getting higher. I liked that the cooperative system is not just an optional extra. Working together can genuinely make difficult sections more manageable. The campaign structure also gives the game a nice sense of progression. One stage focuses on fighting through enemies before reaching an escape point, while another moves into an enemy base and pushes toward the source of the invasion. The story is simple, but it gives the two stages a clear sense of direction. My biggest issue is that the amount of content is limited. There are not many stages or weapons, so I reached the point where I had already seen most of what the game had to offer fairly quickly. The environments are functional, but they do not have much variety, and the shooting can start to feel repetitive once I have learned the enemy patterns. I also think the game would benefit from more polish. The controls work, but some animations and interactions can feel rough, and the overall presentation does not always match the scale of the idea. The concept of humanity returning to a machine controlled Earth could support a much bigger adventure than what is currently here. Overall, Metal Strike is a decent little cooperative third person shooter with a simple sci fi premise and some enjoyable teamwork. I liked the straightforward combat, the mechanized enemies and the revive system, even though the limited content and rough presentation keep it from reaching its full potential. It works best as a quick co op game rather than something I would spend a huge amount of time with. Rating: 6.7/10

Dieses Spiel ist ein wahres Meisterwerk seines Genres. Unterlegt von einem wohl bis in meine Tiefsten Albträume verfolgenden Soundtrack.............ich höre ihn immer noch....... . Metal Strike bietet nicht nur einen wunderbaren Singleplayermode, sondern ebenfalls einen Vorzüglichen Mehrspielermodus. Die Gegner bringen eine Echte Herausforderung mit sich, könnte man fasst sagen.....Grund dafür sind nicht die Gegner selbst, sondern dass die wirklich keine einzige SAU erklärt wie das spiel funktionierttttttt.............. man soll so ne verdreckte Waffe aufheben, aber es geht nicht! Nachdem ich wie ein Epileptiker nach einem Tekkno Konzert wie ein bekloppter alle Tasten meiner Tastatur zerdrückt habe, fand ich nach ca 20 Minuten heraus, das man TAB GEDRÜCKT HALTEN MUSS. WER DENKT SICH SO EINE SCHEIßE BITTESCHÖN AUS????????????????? ich werde mir jetzt Nasentropfen in meine rechte Gehörmuschel geben... Müsst ihr wissen. PS: Spiel funktioniert seit dem neusten Patch auch nicht mehr. LOL
