This is Hideo Kojima's best military game of all time.
Why am i still playing this. Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel that music.. the gameplay even that plot..The endings I've lost...the contents I've lost...wont stop hurting..Its like they're all still there.. You fiddle it, too, don't you?
*More than 10 years after its original release MGSV remains the perfect pitch to convert non believers into the stealth genre, the sandbox made by Kojima remains a dizzingly high bar that is yet to be reached or let alone surpassed* You are Big Boss, once the greatest soldier to ever live, you wake up weak and frail, your memories lost during a 9 year coma and your left arm missing. You were betrayed, you lost everything, and now you must seek revenge against the shadow organization who wronged you in the midst of the Cold War. You´ll venture the sunbleached sands of the middle east and the dangers of the african savanna, as you slowly build up an army of your own, the "Diamond Dogs" a mercenary group built to fight for those too weak to fight for themselves. You wont have to rely on your pistol alone, as an ever expanding arsenal will open up to you as you progress through the game, everything from grenade launchers to inflatable dummies, you´ll be able to outsmart, trick and confuse your enemies. Trying to explain to you the sheer depth and breadth of the mechanics given to you in this game would rob me of a great deal of time and it would rob you out of a great deal of surprises, so I´ll just say this, imagine calling down mortar strikes on enemy positions, piloting mechs, getting your horse to poop on command, hiding inside boxes, placing c4 charges and sledding across dunes... and much much more. The rock solid gameplay fundamentals of this game would make it an all timer on their own, but the entire experience is elevated by its wrapper, its premium presentation, the iconic era accurate soundtrack and the balls to the wall spectacle makes it so that even when MGSV goes too far, in never stops being either f*cking cool or just endearing.
Kötüydü
its sooo good

Cant manually save, so thats really dumb and outdated. Expect to redo whole sections.
A cautious recommend simply because of it's lack of story and the bizarre direction this game takes. The gameplay is perhaps the best the series has ever had but if you're expecting a follow up to the excellent characterization of Big Boss from MGS3 and Peacewalker, this sadly isn't that, it feels incomplete and rushed from that perspective and features an insane plot twist that I think is one of Kojima's few misses in the franchise, though I'll admit I've come to understand his decision over the past decade. If however, you're looking for an open-world stealth sandbox with base, staff and resource management on the side, you really can't get any better than this, gameplay-wise I think it beats Peacewalker in that aspect in every way.
