It improves my biggest (and only major) issue with the original and thats the gameplay, It comes at the cost of MAJOR AURA LOSS they changed the Main Menu (which is one of the greatest ever made) and they changed the theme (which is one of the greatest ever made) and the lighting genuinely makes the game look worse than the 2004 original, Its not noticeable most of the time unless you have a side by side comparison, then you get to certain maps that had INSANE lighting in the original or scenes that had really good lighting in the original and you realize "Oh this is just unreal slop", It also doesnt run very well because its unreal slop. If you like MGS3 other than its gameplay preventing you from replaying it this is worth playing if you like the originals gameplay this isnt worth what is lost
Her Ocelot made my Naked Snake go from Liquid to Solid until I spewed Venom. Now I'm a Big Boss.
dis ♥♥♥♥ good
I never would have expected Konami of all companies to put out not one but TWO faithful remakes of the greatest 6th gen games ever (This and Silent Hill 2) This is what all remakes should strive to be. It captures the gameplay of the original perfectly, for better and for worse, which is also for better because a lot of the charm of the Metal Gear series comes from it's insane eccentricities like the controls, fourth wall breaks, ect. The game looks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gorgeous but obviously it requires a super powerful build to run well. When I first got the game it ran at a steady 60 fps with some dips, but that was with upscaling. I downloaded a handful of mods and now it's able to run at a solid 90 fps while also looking even better than the vanilla max settings. That's all good, but the fact that it doesn't run like that out of the box is pretty whack. It doesn't change that this is an incredible game that is not only extremely faithful to the original classic but also as something new and fresh within the gaming landscape.

So, MGS DELTA… honestly, it’s what I hoped for... a safe, nearly 1:1 remake. I don’t really see how else it could have gone, and considering how unique MGS3 is, pulling it off this faithfully is genuinely impressive. Gameplay: the QoL additions are very welcome autosave, records and titles, quick camo switch, a damn compass, skippable codec calls, and slick new animations for Snake. Still, I would have added some more QoLs like looting enemies, or ledge takedowns. This might be the easiest Foxhound in the series now, is still a decent challenge tho. New style: bosses and enemies were not rebalanced for the improved controls. Is interesting how cutscenes still use old animations. Neat legacy filter though, photo mode at launch, and a new rendition of Snake Eater (and is not bad at all). Preserving a relic and serving it to a broader audience is worth something. Worth a shot for veterans, and a strong starting point for newcomers. - In Memory of a Patriot, Who Saved the World.
Exceeded my expectations!
