METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER

A versão definitiva de um dos melhores jogos de todos os tempos! A otimização não é das melhores e algumas mecânicas não envelheceram tão bem, é basicamente o mesmo jogo só que com gráficos atualizados e melhorias de qualidade de vida. Ainda assim vale muito a pena e é sem dúvidas a melhor versão de MGS3

Play the original/ outta ten! Off the strength of the remake of the SNAKE EATER song, i am giving this a 7/10 ITS OK. play the original if you want to play MGS3. This is just a 1:1 copy of the original but with a modern coat of paint. MGS3 is such a timeless game that playing this over the first one and vice versa does not really matter. I do wish they actually used the MGS5 engine instead to make this but i digress. they didnt really try with lip syncing the words in cutscenes, it basically is the same exact animations as PS2 era. The biggest complaint i have about this game is the fact they went ahead and remade the original SNAKE EATER song that had the illustrious cynthia harrel. The original MGS3 song had so much conviction and emotion that you had no choice but to be moved by it. And because of the amazing performance of cynthia harrel, the repurposing of the song later in the game is visceral and provocative. This game took the exact opposite approach with the song. The remake version of the song is a lot less emotional, the production is softer and withdrawn without that big band feel, and the performance and delivery of the singer is subdued and calm. This makes this signature song a lot less effective in what it was made to do originally, Move you. Its boring and without strengths compared to the original. This song is so important to the themes, story, character archs, EVERYTHING. It essentially sums up the game entirely in a 3 minute 007 inspired ballad. There was practically no reason to change it and not reuse it TL:DR graphically it looks better than the original, however, they did not really try to make the game itself better than the original, and its very apparent in the remake of the SNAKE EATER song, and the cutscene animation/camera quality.
