Absolute KOJIMA !!!

MGS3 is just one of those games in which you're cracking a grin the entire time you're playing it (of course, until you get decimated by the ending). It's Kojima at his most balanced: Still has his avant-garde goofy nonsense, but this time in a more contained, less self-indulgent but still fun environment, such that polish and attention to detail get to shine as well as the big ambitious ideas, the reach finally matching and not exceeding the grasp. It's a rare kind of James Bond-y cheeky fun, both in story-wise and mechanically; the stealth still holds up as never having been truly surpassed. Among the best, certainly Kojima's best. This remake is alright, as far as remakes go. Some of the artstyle changes are questionable, but it's mostly just strictly better (and you can turn off the more questionable modern colour scheme, if you want); the inclusion of a 'Legacy' mode is much appreciated, even if the default mode's changes all strike me as sensible. Little to complain about, as far as remakes go, which is excellent for such a top-tier game.

After playing the Resident Evil 4 remake, the performance here was night and day. This ran smoothly. Never having played the whole game before, I liked it. The story is 50% Cold war era intrigue, and 50% I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane anime stuff. Still the ending was great.

Начну с минусов Оптимизация шедевр, на моем пк почти всю игру были проблемы с перформансом, могу предпожить что дело в процессоре, но ни в одной другой игре я таких лагов не видел, хотя уровни в игре супер маленькие как и в оригинале. Геймлейно игра ощущается устарелой, разрабы перенесли все минусы оригинала, который был сильно ограничен мощностью железа того времени. Но все же, у игры есть и хорошие моменты Графика радует глаз, ремейк выглядит очень сочно и детализировано. Сюжет нормальный, катсцены синема. персонажи классные и запоминаются, но все это заслуги оригинала. В общем и целом устарелость геймплея игры можно перетерпеть заради сюжета, но техническое состояние игры ужасное, хотя уже год прошел с выхода. Если и покупать, то только по скидке

I've been a fan of this series for a long time, all through the Kojima/Konami debacle, so I was skeptical about this one. But it was on sale for under $30 so I figured why not, and I have to say I really enjoy it. Aside from the usual caveats that come with a game created using Unreal Engine 5 (i.e. it pushes my GPU really hard and doesn't run that well) I have to say it's a lot of fun. The modernized gameplay feels really good and much more in line with Metal Gear Solid V, and everything besides that is extremely faithful to the original game. They brought back Guy Savage (which itself is fully remade by PlatinumGames), the Ape Escape minigame is here, and so is the secret theater. I ended up playing it way more than I thought I would and I'm probably going to go and play it more after writing this review.
