This dev just keeps pushing out games that are copies of their other games with the theme, their one character model changed, and some better optimization. I hate to dislike games because I love video games but this game is not good. It is not early access, too; this is the finished product. A lot of these developers' games are buggy and not well optimized. There have been almost no updates to their old games to fix these issues, either. So I do not expect this game to have many or any updates. I do not like what this dev is doing; it is not cool, and the games are not cheap. There are better simulators for $20 or less. Getting back to the gameplay of this game, the urine and hunger I could see affecting your stamina, but the dirtiness, I do not see the point in worrying about that. I do like that you have someone running the shop, but the map is small, and there is not much to do other than waiting around or endlessly buying stuff from the market and running back and forth between the market, your shop, and sleeping at night (which is super bright out) in your home. There is no point putting the toilet or bath in your house; just put the bed there. Put the toilet in the shop in a corner. There is not much point in organizing the items in the shop too. The people will just come and buy the items they want, and the item automatically disappears. If you like simulator games, then you will mostly like this game, but there is no point in wasting $20 on a bare-bone game with simple gameplay. Also, the size of the game is very big at 22 GB. You can get a lot of other games that would play better than this and would take up only 1 GB if that. This is why I can not recommend this. My recommendations to the devs are: Stop making new games and work on what you have out. Make the night in this game darker. Make other things to do like a mini-game. Make the playable area bigger. Make it so you can build a new home. Put a marker on the map to tell you where you are and where everything else is. The list can go on, but this stuff would make this game worth it for me. The core gameplay loop, driving the cart to the market to buy "good price" items and bring them back to your shop, is not enough to support an entire game. The environment is pretty grim with invisible walls about 50 meters out from the town. Survival elements make no sense and don't seem to be manageable. (I could not eat a loaf of bread to ease my hunger.) This is not worth $20, or even $5. There are MUCH better games that do this exact thing. https://youtu.be/pPnYFOisZrE
Sideways recommendation as the game is tough to figure out and has a long way to go. A better map (that shows your current location) would be very helpful. For anyone reading this, I figured the game out... Pretty much... After you leave your home, your store is straight ahead, on the outskirts of town. In the store, there's already an employee and a couple of boxes of goods that can be put up for sale on the table (that you place from your inventory "Q"). The employee automatically sells the stuff you put out for sale and collects the money, which you can later add to your inventory by clicking on the bag on the table. You also have a book in your inventory that can be placed on the cashier's table...That allows you to save your game. There's a cart ("F") outside the store that you can push to the market, which is actually another town with a bunch of market stands. Important: If you look at the map "M", you can see a road going to the market. If you're FACING the front door of your store, head northeast (like 1 o'clock position). If you keep heading northeast (I just cut across the fields), you'll eventually come across the market town. Go to the middle of all the market stands and hit "F" again to let go of your cart. As you hover over the various items for sale at each stand, it'll tell you what is a good buy and what is not. If you buy something, it turns into a box or crate in your hand. You can stack those in the cart and push multiple crates back to your store with your cart ("F"). Once back in your store, you can unload the crates, then grab items individually ("F") to put on your table for sale. Oh, also important: In the market town, there is an area where you can buy more shelves, tables, a bathtub, bed, toilet, etc.... When you buy them, they go into your inventory (not the cart) to be placed later. To pee, you need the toilet, to sleep, you need the bed (both are given to you in the beginning of the game, in your inventory). But to keep clean, you need to buy a wash tub in the market town and place it, like the toilet, bed, etc... The thing that got me to stop playing for now is the store advancement system. To be able to sell/buy weapons, you have to get a positive rating for your store. That means that you have to supply many, many items in your store, causing you to run back and forth to the market (with the cart) over and over. The store rating system harshly penalizes you if a customer wants something you don't have and only slightly rewards you if you do have what they want. Not fun. Also, you have to manually unload the crates and place each individual item on your tables & shelves. Also not fun. All that your employee does is stand there, collecting the money. If this stuff could be more automated, it would be a lot more fun. As of right now, it looks like the short term game is buying tons of items to sell in your store, driving up the store rating. Problem is: There are many, many different items. The long term game looks like getting to the point where you can sell weapons, at least as far as I can tell. This doesn't seem like a bad game and I like the subject matter. But does needs some improvement or it feels like it could get repetitive/boring after a while. Hope all of this helps... :cozybethesda:
I am going to be requesting a refund, I believe my first one ever if not my second. I cant recommend so much I am actually rating this game a no. I like to leave positive reviews and games that I end up not liking I just uninstall and move on. This one though seems it needs to be put out there a hard wait on this one they released it too early for a complete game. You won't have much more to do then running to market and back to stock all your shelves over and over and over again. Nothing else. Thats it... that's the game. Your rep goes up... you get to stock more different items. I would like to see more in a mideval trader game, as in blacksmith alchemy farming cooking... something... but no.. its you just run into a town about a 2 min run and buy "good price" items. If this is the exact type of game you are looking for then buy their other game its more complete, more spots to stop at but that will dry out quick too.
I bought this game and was so excited to play it but the map isn't detailed at all, I never found a market to buy more goods for my store and I was never able to place my bed so I could sleep. I think that they needed more time on this game and they released it way to early. I would not suggest getting this game to anyone, its a waste of money. Its very hard to find anything on the map and I am just disappointed overall with this game. If the game is worked on further, I might buy it again but right now I wouldn't recommend to anyone!
There are no monsters to fight, no buildings to place, no tech trees to upgrade. Your goal is to move your cart from store to market, over and over. Buying low, selling high. You gotta buy and sell that bread to make that bread, man. You gotta get on that grind. Don't forget that you have three stats: Hunger, Dirt, and Piss. Buy low, sell high. Back to the market, back to the store. Capitalism, ho! One day, we will all succumb to entropy. But for now, Buy Low Sell High. Nah, it wasn't really fun :(
Pros: The basic market mechanics work, can stack melons, the music is nice when it decides to play (not often) Cons: No voice acting, game ♥♥♥♥♥ itself on any graphic setting other than Low, very repetitive, ridiculously loud SFX, no volume settings, awful chewing sound when eating, view bobbing always on, very repetitive, gave me a headache after 5 minutes, only 1 character model, confusing tutorial, terrible AI, very repetitive, it's *TWENTY TWO GIGABYTES* I got this for free and I feel ripped off. Can't imagine how angry I'd be if I'd paid full price. It could be actually good if they put some effort into it, optimised it, and added more content. I was really looking to it and I feel so let down! Judging by the other games this company's put out, they're just reskinning the same game over and over (they release 5 games a year). My advice to the devs: Stick to one of the games and actually do something with it! You'd probably end up with something decent after a while. Not mad, just disappointed.
This game COULD be great. It's kind of like when you buy a house and the bones are good, but you really need to renovate... a lot. Yes, it's very bare bones in terms of content. BUT if you like simple simulators where you basically run around doing the same thing everyday (and you're also a hoarder like I am), you'll probably enjoy this game. Consider purchasing it on a sale, though, as the price is a bit hefty for the content you receive. DNA Army Gaming -- consider adding quests, NPC interactions, and a better map UI (+ a mini map preferably) to really earn the positivity and hype of the community playing your games.
Admittedly I was excited for this game, but there is just nothing to do, you buy and sell. You don't even sell, there is someone at the store who does it for you, you go from point A to B then back to A again. You don't upgrade anything, you practically walk back and forth finding the best deals, earning money is easy but nothing to use it on. Its shame cause if there was more depth to it, some story or an incline of what you were doing there would have made it bit more worth while.

The world is quite small, the player is not allowed to venture outside of an invisible boundary. Nothing much happens in this land. Everyone looks the same: Stout cross-eyed men that look like they are on a bad acid trip. The player is a hard-working trader that must get up every morning, take a dump (yes, this is a thing in the game), take a bath, and take a walk. There is no running in this land and time flies by quickly; the trader's 100-yard walk to his shop will see an hour pass by (about a 30 seconds of real time). If the game crashed, which happens frequently by the way, the trader will restart the game from his home always at 7am sharp. It doesn't matter where or when the game crashed, a load from a save always puts the player back in the trader's home at 7am. If the trader had anything loaded on the cart, since the last save, it will be on the cart waiting at the shop to be unloaded. Get used to that cart, as hauling it back and forth across the map at a foot march pace is 50% of the game. Another 20% is searching other trader's wares for good deals and 20% is restocking the tables and shelves to sell to the locals. The final 10% is the trader's time to take care of the essentials, eating, sleeping, etc. This makes up the bulk of the game. The world of MTS is surprisingly detailed. The roads, trees, grass, weeds, and rocks have a realistic look. The buildings and furniture look like they could be medieval, although many appeared to have glass windows and that's probably not very medieval for a rural setting. The lighting seems to be skewed to the too bright direction; it feels like daylight is twice as bright as it should be; night is like a cloudy day. All this comes at a cost, a pretty powerful GPU is required to run at max settings. The sound is a mixed bag, the sound of the cart being dragged along sounds more like a heavy object being dragged on concrete, and it becomes annoying quickly. The sounds of birds chirping feels like the right atmosphere when walking through a wooded area. Mostly the sounds are flat or there is little sound at all. Overall, this is a shell of a game. The game loop is: Get up, walk the cart to market, load cart with boxes of goods, go back to the shop, unload and stock shelves, collect money, go home and start a new day. There is a book the trader keeps that contains a list of 'complaints', meaning a list of items that the shoppers want and can't find. Not having items in the shop that are wanted causes the shop rating to fall. If the shop rating is not at 50% the trader cannot buy weapons to sell. Getting the shop rating to 50% is merely a matter of time, maybe 10 game days (3 or 4 hours real time). This is the end game? Selling weapons at a large profit? There is nothing to do after that. No thieves to ward off, no guards to hire, no bandits on the road, etc. The trader will have a huge pile of coins to do nothing with. MTS is too lifeless and feels pointless after a few hours. It has an over-detailed landscape with wooden men shuffling about randomly; perhaps the developers should have spent less time on that, and more time on creating things for the player to do and contend with. MTS feel more like an early access demo than a game, not recommended in its current state.
