Mecha-Tokyo Rush is a 2D retro pixel endless runner with platformer/shooter elements that's been slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio video game construction kit from Yoyogames. It's a 1990's NES/Japanese themed stylistic ripoff of Metroi, but with dumbed down endless runner gameplay. All you do is run to the right, shoot and jump. The quality here is pretty bad, a lot of effort seems to have gone into filling out the templates in GMS, and making custom retro pixel assets instead of copying someone elses, but then it doesn't take much time, talent or effort to stamp out a retro pixel sprite, that's why indie devs love pixel "art" so much. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and unsurprisingly results in products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. Using a video game construction kit requires little to no talent or skill as a game developer. Very often, GameMaker Studio is used to make shovelware and lazy cash grabs, although in this case the game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises like pixel art and using off the shelf game templates and construction kits.

if you're looking for a megaman experience, this isn't it. take the already reasonably simple megaman/rockman formula and further simplify it and... you get this. its boring. different variations of timing jump and shoot this shoot that with little sense of progression. the only thing good is its free and a good enough time waster if you are supremely casual about your games. otherwise not worth the download time and space even if its free. i think its sad if the devs think this is what 80s megaman games were like. the timing puzzles and challenges in the old megaman games weren't hamstrung by a silly always forward facing mechanic (limitation). megaman could actually turn and walk the other way... also climb ladders.
Boring endless runner game.
Aburrido y malo
Is not a bad game...
