Warning: Third Party Account This game requires you to create a third party "fury.games" account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.
"Mech vs. Bugs" is an abandoned Early Access contentless twin stick wave survival shooter, it's bad, there's a lot of bad games on Steam, but the curious part is the developer DEMANDING to know your email address for a single player crapfest... this kind of thing is bad, it's amoral, it's sinister and creepy, and it should be illegal. Why does the developer want my email address? Holy crap. What do you do in the game? Twin stick shooting, but crap. The most enjoyable part of this train wreck is when you uninstall it. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 6 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. This looks a lot like it was designed for consoles, but released on Steam instead by mistake. While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC-centric design. It's unclear why this never made it to the video game console appliances it seems to have been designed for. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.

Still lots of room for improvement but I can see potential. Hit boxes are a bit strange with melee and when you get hit. I tried out all the weapons and felt that the seeker missiles were the easiest since you power creep really quick and then end up moving very quick depending on your chassis. There's nice potential for custom builds with all the slots and combinations of items but the crafting/upgrade system is too cumbersome at the moment. Very inefficient, maybe a Shift+click to move items from one selection to another would be good or a multiple select option. I got as far as mk4 on some items before it became too inconvenient to craft any further with all the clicking rather than lack of funds. Just a quick game for a couple hours to try out. Do note that you need to sign in with an email and verify it.
They wanted my email address but I didn't come here to be postal friends with them.

==Imma open with this, This is a single player game that is over a gig in size, which doesn't show up as fairly well used space, and on first boot, your options are to register an outside email in order to sign in via steam, or to exit to desktop. Having gone the playing route with a side email, i can, with confidence, reccomend that you do not progress past the boot screen. this game, in its current state, is not worth it. ==please consider that while this game is listed as early-access, it has not been updated for nearly 2 yrs as of writing (nov 2025, 21 mnths since last update) even though it has a claimed early access lifespan of 3-6 mnths. points i bring up may be fixed if [FURY GAMES] ever decides to update the largest(self claimed on webbedsite) of their 3 games. ==This game is clunky with no explanation in game of nearly anything. you can navigate to settings from game prompts and navigate your way into playing a level, but everything else is assumed knowledge of the player from the Devs. ==Things that i stumbled on or had to really search for(and this is coming from someone who reads EULAs/patents for fun on occasion) included 1--the controls, they are not explained anywhere, no tooltip, no tutuorial, not even a settings page or section to edit or even read keybinds. 2--upgrades i had to fumble around to figure out that you're supposed to buy upgrade mods from the market, and then buy enough to merge them in order to maximize overall points per square. 3-- movement was a trouble 4--objective took me a bit to understand 5-- theres not really anywhere to view your health in numbers in game, just a red bar that fades to clear if u don't take dmg for a while and reappears with the same health if you do. 6-- why are my damage output numbers varying so much, and what exactly is the range beyond 'melee' 'ranged' '+1 ranged' on the weapons?? 7--Why is turning controlled by sliding a mouse along the x axis?? and better yet, why does it suddently change what direction means what, all while not showing the mouse for reference, and having absoulute movement controls. ==Another few points i have against it is that it boots, at least on first boot, into "epic" graphics defualt. I only mostly despise that considering there is a "cinematic" setting above(or below, cuase dropdown menus all the way in this game) epic. there is in fact a low medium and high graphics settings for everything except v-syn, fps cap, and one other setting. these L-M-H options are all below the epic setting. settings is one page, only about a half screen big (i rock a 14 in screen) with most options being graphics options, with so few audio settings that i can barely remember if any exist, and no controls rebinding or viewing menu. ==The game itself feels of questionable quality and is only fairly decent if you love the genres in it. of the four planets, each has 9 waves, and you can choose to fight bugs in 1 of 2 sites for each wave, there are more than two sites total and i couldn't figure out if they were cycled by wave or lifetime, or if they were randomly selected options. You begin the game with 1k in coin and a defualt mech. during the game, you collect ingredieants from the bugs by walking over the drops. drops can be sold to a marketplace inbetween waves. this is also where upgrades/mods are bought, and where new mech parts can be obtained. Upon running out of mod slots, or buying 3 mods, you can merge 3 mods of a tier n, and recieve one n+1 tier mod of that kind in the crafting section. also on the inter-wave menu is a "site scanning" tab that shows stats of enemyie and available mission options/locations. The point of this game is beat up bugs while in big mech, and it does do that, although with moderate success. Upgrading for subsequent waves depends on having coin to buy new parts and mods, and the only way to get coin is through selling bug parts or "ingrediants" (misspelled sorry, ik) which are not automatic drops, but manually picked up via contact, somethings that may be difficult to see when getting swarmed. there is no coin reward for completing a wave, meaning that failure to collect enough parts sell for upgrades will result in your getting massively overwhelmed. ==Do not spend your time on this game. it may be free, and it may be a good idea, but between how bad the game feels to play or navigate and asking for my email to receive an activation code for a free purchase ON steam. maybe wishlist or add this game to your library, and then let it sit there until some serious QOL updates. ==Thanks for readding all this if you did.
i dont like it its to hard i mean i dont wanna make the devs sad but make it more simple but i feel bad so ill recommand it and i gotta sat it was kind of fun!
Overall a fun game reminiscent of flash games back in the day. I would like categories for parts, mods, etc. as well as cleaning up the screen or making the drops more visible. Something is here just needs a little work
