Mayor Match: City Builder & Match 3 is a casual game that mixes city building with match 3 puzzles, and I think that combination works better than I expected. I start with a fairly empty piece of land and slowly turn it into a proper city by completing puzzles and using the resources I earn from them. I can build homes, shops, farms and other buildings while also working on roads and transport. It is not a serious city simulator where I have to worry about every little detail, but it gives me enough control to make the city feel like something I am actually building. The match 3 part is what I spend most of my time doing, and it is pretty familiar stuff. I am matching gems, creating useful combinations and trying to complete the objectives before I run out of moves. The levels gradually introduce different obstacles and make me think a little more about which pieces I move. I like that the puzzles have an actual purpose because the energy and resources I earn are then used to improve my city. It makes the two parts of the game feel connected instead of having a puzzle mode that could have been attached to anything. The city building is where I get most of my enjoyment. I can place buildings, improve them and gradually unlock more of the city as I progress. There is also a focus on making the city a better place to live, with recycling, trees and upgrades for more environmentally friendly buildings. Public transport is another part of the game, with roads and transport networks helping move goods and people around. I like having these extra systems because they make the city feel a little more alive, even though the actual management is quite simple. There are also some nice long term goals to work towards. I can restore famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, the Colosseum and the Sydney Opera House, which gives me something more exciting to work towards than just placing another house. The different buildings and districts also give me a reason to keep progressing because the city starts looking noticeably different as I unlock more content. I like watching the empty area slowly become a proper little city, although I do wish I had more control over the layout and the way everything connects together. The biggest problem for me is that the city building is not as deep as the name might make it sound. Most of my progression still comes from completing match 3 levels, and the city side is mainly there to give those puzzles a purpose. I am not dealing with detailed budgets, complicated traffic systems or serious population management, so eventually I am mostly playing another puzzle level to get the resources needed for another building. That works fine for a casual game, but it means the city builder side never becomes the main attraction for me. The free to play design is also something I notice quite quickly. I can play the game for free and there is a lot to do, but there are optional purchases and the progression is tied to resources and energy. I can play offline, which I really appreciate, and I do not feel forced to spend money just to see what the game is about. Still, there are times when the waiting and resource limits slow me down when I would rather keep playing. That takes some of the fun out of it because the game is at its best when I am in the mood to keep building and do not want to stop halfway through. Overall, Mayor Match is a pleasant casual game that combines two simple ideas fairly well. I like building up the city, unlocking landmarks and seeing the area change as I progress, while the match 3 levels give me something active to do between construction projects. The biggest thing holding it back for me is the lack of real depth in the city management, because most of the important progress still comes from the puzzle side. The energy system and optional purchases also make the pacing less enjoyable at times. Still, it is colourful, easy to understand and relaxing enough that I can see myself coming back to it when I want something simple rather than a serious city simulator. Rating: 7.8/10

норм ушел из Rust ради этой игры
After lvl34 it becomes a straight up scam, basically requiring micro transactions to be able to win. otherwise the game was pretty chill and fun. Greed ruins these type of mobile games
The game is easy to learn, offers a colourful, relaxing art style, and provides a fun secondary hook for fans who enjoy both puzzle games and light management sims. However, after the initial smooth hours, progression slows down significantly, prompting frequent microtransactions to gain enough energy or time-savers to keep playing - the match-3 puzzles eventually overshadow the actual city-building aspects, turning a creative building concept into a standard puzzle grinder behind a thematic coat of paint.
Игра чисто для мамы (она в восторге, будущий геймер). Несложно, интересно и можно расслабиться
Basic match 3 city builder. Have not put in enough time to complain about anything other than standard ads.
