Maxix Robotics is a great first-game from Belfrost Studios. From the first minute of the game, you get a strong sense that a lot of passion and love went into development. I REALLY like the overall concept - its a fun (spooky) sci-fi setting that feels like a cross between Bioshock and Five Nights at Freddy's. I'll admit, it was a lot scarier than I anticipated! While the game itself is short (I beat it in less than an hour), its packed with fun mini-games (often reminding me of real-life games I used to LOVE playing as a kid), great environmental sounds and effects. If I could make any suggestions to the developers (hoping they make a part two!), it would be: 1. Add additional settings in the menu for tweaking visual brightness, contrast, etc. 2. Give us more lore and background! I want to know more about the world that Maxix exists in. I want to know who the protagonist is and what brought him here. 3. Add more interactivity/personality from the Dott companion. I like the contrast of its adorable smiling pixels compared to the dark, gritty environment and I think its a good opportunity to lean into that contrast by giving the Dott a more prominent character as the "side kick" (e.g., voice lines, different facial expressions, etc.). Overall, it's a very well-done horror-puzzle game to relax to in an evening or two, and I'm genuinely excited to see what Belfrost continues to create in the future! :)

"Maxix Robotics" is certainly far from the worst game I've seen on Steam Direct (and I've seen a lot of stuff). This is a sincerely made first person puzzle game where you're in a robotics factory and you need to solve puzzles that mostly involve moving batteries around. What hopes the game had to attract the casual Portal/QUBE loving puzzle crowd is lost with the timing/stealth problems of avoiding robots that sometimes appear at the worst possible moments. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. A peak of [b]8 concurrent players[/b] (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.

Game Scared me! LOL First jumpscare got me and I NOPED. The team did a good job making this. I know that they are listening and have a lot of updates planned and they are releasing a free DLC eventually as well based on their socials which is awesome. I watched some of the videos by other creators and they were confused about ending, but that's probably because there is a continuation with the DLC or next game (Something else they confirmed) Overall: - Environment Good - Gameplay Good - Story very interesting - DOTT IS CUUUUUTE Negatives - It's short, but once again they are releasing DLC that doubles game length and adds more for players so will be waiting for that. May have friendo play for me, as jumpscares keep getting me. Give it a shot if you are interested. Creators are small indie team wanting to tell a bigger story and when you buy this you help fund a larger project. Had a chance to talk with them since their outreach is good and they are listening to everyone commenting so they can make experience good for everyone. Keep up good work guys!

Единственным минусом может показаться некоторая повторяемость механик ближе к концу, но этот недостаток с лихвой компенсируется общим уровнем увлекательности и полезности. "Maxix Robotics" станет отличным выбором для тех, кто хочет попробовать себя в роли программиста или просто любит хорошие головоломки. Рекомендую!
