MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls

Mechanically a very solid start, low entry for casual play with very high skill ceiling if you put in the time. A few balancing tweaks and will be a real gem and potential fgc mainstay. Online's been mostly fine post-patch for me but your mileage may vary - I also expect it to get better as devs continue to release fixes. Don't get tilted and you'll have a good time.

Another fighting game with characters I care about

I know a lot of PC players were having a hard time playing this however my PC is very old and outdated and it ran very smoothly. I let my shaders preload and put the game on medium graphics (as I do for all the games I play) and had no issues. Combat feels great and the game is very fun I would recommend this game to casuals and FGC sweats alike.

Después de jugar casi 5 horas seguidas el mismo día que salió, tengo que decir que el juego a nivel mecánico y visual es una pasada. Es verdad que en el modo práctica se echan de menos algunos detalles y mejoras que ya tienen otros juegos de lucha para hacerte la vida más fácil, pero a pesar de eso es muy bueno. Sobre el rendimiento, que he visto que hay quejas, a mí me ha ido perfecto. Sí que noto que exprime bastante el ordenador; mi procesador se mantiene cerca del 80% de uso cuando juego y comparto pantalla por Discord a la vez, pero no he tenido caídas de frames, lag ni ningún problema raro a la hora de jugar. Si te gusta Marvel y el género de peleas, es un juego que tienes que probar sí o sí. Con amigos te lo pasas genial, y lo bueno que tiene es que se adapta a todo el mundo: sirve tanto si quieres ir a tope a competir en el modo de clasificatorias, como si solo buscas echar unas partidas casuales para pasar el rato. Además, el contenido offline está bastante bien. El modo historia imita el estilo de las viñetas de los cómics y visualmente queda genial. También se agradece mucho el detalle de que algunos personajes tengan interacciones y frases personalizadas cuando se enfrentan, aunque el doblaje en español no me ha terminado de convencer y creo que podría ser mejor. En resumen, no es un juego perfecto de 10 y seguro que irá mejorando con el tiempo a base de actualizaciones, pero vale totalmente la pena darle una oportunidad porque visualmente es un espectáculo.

Mr. Stark, my connection to Playstation players doesn't feel so good. :( The game itself is great, so fun, so fast, so chaotic. One of the easiest fighting games to pick up and just have fun, but with a very high skill ceiling. Had no issues with matches with other pc players, and to PSN players I could actually connect to it was also fine, but most PSN players failed to connect. It's not so bad finding fun matches in Arcadia, but for Arcadia Rumble or matchmaking you might be in trouble. ArcSys has already done crossplay... so what's the difference? The PSN stuff. You don't hate Sony enough. The game's still worth the asking price, but these issues need to be fixed. I also see people complaining about hardware issues. Not saying it's not happening, but I have to wonder how many of those people haven't updated drivers. Ran fine for me, looked good, played smooth. Edit: Actually, half these negative reviews are complaining that they bought the game for Steam Deck or Steam Machine when there's a big UNSUPPORTED right on the store page. No accounting for intelligence around here.

I wasn't expecting much from this game, but was genuinely suprised by how much fun I've had. It is definitely more of a casual fighting game compared to something like street fighter. The controls are very simple so you can just pick up and play without having to spend hours learning combos. I like the hub world they have for the online rooms mode. Compared to other fighting games that have tried the same thing Marvel Tokons Hub world feels the most fleshed out. You get to play as a Chibi version of your favorite marvel character and it has a lot of marvel easter eggs sprinkled in The only downside is theres not a lot of single player content I can see myself running out of things to do in the future but the modes it does have are all very fun.

Best fighting game in a while.
