не лезьте сюда. игра ужасно аддиктивная
I liked this game very much. It had some shortcomings, I encountered a surprising amount of smaller bugs, and optimization is not always great. Outside of that, I would also suspect that the way the story presents itself will be hit or miss for the majority of people. Sometimes it relied too much on my ability to tolerate typical comic book traits. Like for example never actually stopping a villain and letting them go for a fifth time, just so the plot can continue. But positives outweigh those heavily. First, the gameplay is very satisfying. It's lots of fun experimenting with new cards, testing out combos with different characters, maximizing the outputs of damage and crowd-control with a limited amount of cards drown - it's a very addictive gameplay loop. The tactical element in Midnight Suns has been laid out in a satisfying manner. Second, being a Marvel Universe turn-based tactics game was an unusual combination (that is unfortunately reflected in this game being considered a commercial failure), but midway through my playthrough I saw why it's a great idea. I wasn't just sending nameless soldiers on missions, those were actual characters that I've build relationships with. And those characters are simply fun to interact with. There's a stigma surrounding Marvel franchise, how shallow and "millennial-coded" it is, but I saw that those characters in Midnight Suns were crafted with love and care. I had some skepticism about playing as a non-established character in a universe full of fan-beloved ones, but actually came to care for a Hunter's story and journey. In a way, it is just a player's avatar, which allows for some roleplay in dialogues and a choice of your personal path. But there is also a story tied to that character, one that was interesting to engage with and lay out. Also fair to point out that the ending hinted at the possibility of a sequel with Doctor Doom as the main villain, but it won't happen now. I guess this game is a good example that a cool idea and a good execution of that idea is not always enough if you want that game to sell well, that idea also needs to be marketable. Hard for me to judge, as I'm pretty sure I'm TA of this game. Guess it sucks that "success" is measured only in the amount of sells, would love to see more Midnight Suns.
What a surprise! Great game, and I must say that I enjoyed it very much. I had never played a tactical RPG before, but I'm very familiar with the Marvel IP, and I found the game very beginner-friendly. I was gradually immersed in the game, and now it's certainly one of my favorites. The story is great and rewards you for having outside knowledge of Marvel comics; the card system doesn't have that much skill expression, but that's fine by me; the cutscenes are cool, and I didn't feel the story dragged on by any means (even after playing for 60 hours). Even the adventure section surprised me with its depth. Now for the bad stuff: the actual Midnight Suns team (Nico, Magik, etc.), despite being in their late 20s, act very much like teenagers, and some story choices didn't feel too natural (they pissed me off a bit). Some clubs and hangouts are really cringe; the graphics are kind of lame (it looks like a PS3 game); and the game's price is absurd, especially the DLCs. I don't recommend buying any of these at full price. Each DLC gives you three missions and two base upgrades (and costs almost as much as the base game), but sadly, you need them if you want to platinum the game. I recommend buying only the base game at first and then, if you like it, getting the Season Pass on sale. Overall, the game is great, and I don't regret giving it a chance.
Wish this was more like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, strategy games are not my thing but I gave it a try and if you’re a Marvel fan get this on a discount there is a lot to unpack in this game. Just not my cup of tea.
fun
The first couple hours of the game has writing that makes me want to implode with cringe. It also takes way too long to let you get into the general gameplay loop. That said, the gameplay is very very fun and the writing does tone itself down as you keep going.
Let me start off by saying that I have never left a bad review for pretty much anything, game or otherwise, and I TRULY enjoy this game, BUT.... There is a horrible bug that can completely ruin your savefile if you research a certain thing before you're told to. (just google Faithbreaker armor bug) It's truly disheartening to play for 40 ish hours, enjoy it, do a bunch of side stuff and DLC and then realize you can no longer progress. I can't reload an older save to fix this, as I realized that I even had the bug way too late, and I don't know if I'd even want to go back so many levels and days. TDLR; game is great, bug completely bricked my savefile, would now have to completely start over.
Fun game. Slightly grindy but still challenges consistently as found in XCOM. Doesnt quite scratch the exact same itch as XCOM but tickles the brain the same. Alot of tactical gameplay, nil strategic gameplay. As others say, the dialougue is kinda milktoast and easily forgotten. The Marvel IP is doing alot of heavy lifting rather than on it's own story. Looks greats, plays good on my system. With the exception of the final mission where the fps tanked but could fix easily by reloading the game.
刚开始挺好玩,感觉玩了一阵子就腻了
I really enjoyed this game. It's a great deck building strategy game. Difficulty scaling can be a bit sharp. I don't recall encountering any bug. Definitely no game ending ones. Fun combat. Decent story. Strongly recommend.
