I’ve put 127 hours into Marvel Rivals and genuinely tried to give this game every chance because the actual gameplay can be a lot of fun. My biggest problem is that the game just doesn’t feel consistent or fair enough for me to take seriously competitively. Damage and hit registration can feel completely different from one situation to another, enemies sometimes survive things I’ve seen kill the same characters countless times before, and there are attacks that seem to connect when they shouldn’t or fail to register when they clearly should. Then there’s the matchmaking. Way too many games are complete blowouts. It often feels less like the better players won and more like the match was stacked heavily in one team’s favor from the beginning. I know the game has buffs, healing, shields, damage reduction, falloff, counters, and plenty of other mechanics. I’ve played enough to understand that. I also can’t prove exactly what is happening behind the scenes. I can only judge the experience I’m having, and after 127 hours I don’t trust the consistency of the game anymore. I even gave it one final chance and spent most of the last two days playing again. I came away feeling exactly the same. It’s a shame because I genuinely enjoy Marvel Rivals. But if you’re looking to seriously invest yourself into competitive play or tournaments, I personally couldn’t recommend doing that in its current state. For now, I’m done with it.
Screw this game. This is the only game that I have repeatedly uninstalled and gave another go. Compared to Overwatch, this game is a mess. Especially the EOMM. They will keep matching you with one trick guys, quitters, hard headed people.
Horrible Optimisation, Terrible MM System, Supports are overtuned asf, dont get into this hot trash
The matchmaking will be the death of this game
