I play rivals since the closed beta, and I still love it. It does piss me off at times, with all the spidey onetricks throwing games, and the recent teamup change making BP even more of a pain to deal with, especially if you don't have stable high FPS, but overall it's an enjoyable game... [h2]The black panther mention brings me on the topic of optimization...[/h2] Oh boy is the optimization in rivals [u]HORRIBLE[/u]. And what do we have to thank for that? Good old Unreal Engine 5... Every season the game runs worse than the previous, and it's becoming really difficult to even play the game for me on my laptop's specs. I can reach 120FPS, but sadly the 1% low fluctuate a lot between 40FPS and 50FPS.. I get constant frame drops and stutters throughout the game even when nothing is really going on. I worry that one day I might not be able to play Rivals anymore, simply because of Netease not doing anything to optimize the game... And that worry saddens me. I've invested money and A LOT of time in this game.. It's also a game I love playing with my favorite person.. We've been climbing together in comp, and although sometimes it's torture, we do enjoy it and our goal of reaching Celestial TOGETHER is a special thing for us... I don't want this to go away simply because of the devs not doing anything to keep the game playable. [b]I don't know if you read the reviews Netease, but PLEASE do something about the optimization. You'll lose around half of your playerbase by continuing to ignore it, because one day they won't be able to play the game at all anymore.[/b]

i love this game to the bottom of my heart, ive been playing since the start of 2025, the designs, heros, vilains vigilantes, ect ect and just the marvel universe in general, though i do find some problems with rivals. the people who play can get quite toxic with anyone. new players, regular ones. nobody is safe from being harrassed here, which does sometimes can bring others down and away from the game. as well as the matchmaking, sometimes you get into lobbys of mulitple people levels below you, or levels higher, which can be quite jarring since you may be on a winning streak before going down to a loosing streak at random. there is alot of discorse about the devs having favourtism to certain chars, like luna snow getting lots of costumes, as well as spider-man getting alot of costumes while some chars like the human torch having no ledgendery skins, or ultron. but if your fine with interacting with toxic people, [especially to female players] , as well as enjoy marvel, 6v6 third person shooters and having fun with different game modes you may enjoy this game! even if some different heros have hard learning curves!
