If you liked to get rammed into a wall(by AI, Clunky bullies with anger issues, teammates, and other assortments of horror), then this FPS is for you. Come join the sweatiest, most sleep depraved, caffeine dependent, trash game loving people you'll ever have the pleasure to kill or die to. You will want to gouge your eyes out at the sheer beauty of the bugs alone but don't fret, its loads of fun
I played the first season and now the second and the servers seem to have got less stable, Thursdays are particularly bad for lag and disconnects and it totally destroys the immersion I would not recommend this until the servers are more stable.
This is by no means a Destiny- or Halo-level game, and some of the edgy visuals are questionable. But for what it is—an extraction shooter—it’s a good game. The gunplay feels satisfying, and the environments, sense of danger, missions, and loot are all mechanically well made.
not as sweaty as other titles. cant get tilted at your friends with this, if you have any, idk.
Game is great, neck beard Destiny basement dwellers ruined the hype unfortunately. Can still find matches in a few minutes but the game was PEAK season 1

Marathon is a very solid game that doesn't quite know what it wants to be. I really like the new PVE modes, but the PVP can feel so intense at times that it feels like a deterrent for someone who isn't trying to sweat 24/7. There's a lot of promise here (especially for $40) and I think it's worth sticking around for the ride.
it fun
The PvP is amazing, the hero selection is decent, and the maps are good; unfortunately, the game still hasn't fully settled on its identity - whether it wants to be a hardcore PvP looter-shooter or a PvPvE experience leaning heavily toward PvE (I’m alluding to the PvE Cryo Archive update here). For some reason, the game’s social media "audience" seems to consist largely of people who hate it, checking SteamDB daily and posting angry reviews on Reddit far outnumbering those who actually love it, play it, and support the developers. I hope Bungie finally makes up its mind and polishes the game, there is definitely real potential there.
Fun for a season but that is about it. The endless grind every season is simply not fun to do. The gunplay is good and I cannot fault it but is it that reason enough to play? Go play CS or Apex for a much better gunplay experience. There are issues with balance around guns/shells/mods but every game with a meta has this and Bungie has been good with keeping overpowered items in check. I played for 200 hours so I got my money's worth, but I think any sane person will find doing the same grind after a season ends too much and will just decide to move on to something else. While the community cringes whenever somebody mentions the player count, there is a reason why the game has less than 10k players with 85% positive reviews - THE GAME DOES NOT HAVE LONG-TERM REPLAYABILITY So pick this game up now and have fun in this season and the next because the game will probably shut down by then.
