great game once you get the mechanics of it down
Fantastic game once you understand the gameplay loop,, and how to maximise from inevitable losses and see past it. Truly unique and amazing art direction as well as sound design. A lot of good people lost in recent layoffs which is concerning. Furthermore, the game's learning curve is too difficult to sustain new players. Onboarding measures desperately needed, but once you're in, you lose enough, maybe get a friend, and realise how good it really is.
dont let the hate consume you. This is a great game with a solid pvp loop so different from others. yes its extraction based but not like arc or tark..its better
played a bit of the trial. Loved the energy wanted more so bought the game to do more I know this game with grown with the online side of. will say more when played more
Drinkable cheeseburgers and sudden schizophrenia. What else could you ask for?
Best extraction shooter I have ever played. Buy it.
Its better than most people want to admit. Its obvious that the game was rushed to get out and stuff like solo and ranked were not thought out very well. that said the bones of the game are rock solid with some tweaks it will be even better. More in depth content and like Tarkov, some larger maps and some boss's with lore would really go along way. Come on in the water is fine gamers.
I have over 300 hours on this game on PS5. Trying it out on PC to get MORE FRAMES. But controller auto-aim is overpowered so I still use a controller haha. I haven't been so addicted to an FPS since the original Destiny, CoD MW, or Overwatch in the beginning. Marathon is a wholly original game, with a visual style unlike any other. The gameplay loop is exceptional. If you're okay with some PVP, this game will keep you coming back to complete just one more contract (missions to do each match), or do just one more run to get that last upgrade material you need. The 60hz servers make the responsiveness comparable to Counter Strike 2. It feels CRISP to play. The UI could use some tweaks. The sound design is perfect - it makes solo runs the scariest game you've ever played. Duos or trios with friends are always fun. Ignore the haters, this is one of the most fun, most unique gaming experiences for anyone okay with some competitive play.
