I've put over 10,000 hours into Destiny 2, so when Bungie announced Marathon, I was all in. After spending time with it, I can honestly say this game is unlike anything I've typically played. Would I recommend it to other Destiny players? Probably not—at least not to everyone. If you have two friends you can consistently play with, this game is incredible. Some of the most memorable moments come from the stories you create together. Marathon isn't really about chasing loot like Destiny. It took me a while to understand that. The real progression is in the tension, the teamwork, and accepting that you're going to lose gear. Once you get over the fact that you'll inevitably lose, the game becomes much more enjoyable. When the Vault Breaker update came out, I finally saw the future of the game. Without mechanics like that, I think the player base risks shrinking to mostly hardcore PvP players. Marathon needs reasons for different types of players to log in and take risks. My biggest criticism is the always-listening AI voice system. Knowing that everything being said is constantly monitored feels invasive. I understand why moderation tools exist, but it can make conversations feel less natural and less private. Overall, I love Marathon and I want it to succeed. It's a unique experience that has created some amazing moments with friends. I just think it needs to continue expanding its appeal beyond the most competitive PvP audience while being mindful of how voice moderation affects the player experience.
Its better than most people want to admit. Its obvious that the game was rushed to get out and stuff like solo and ranked were not thought out very well. that said the bones of the game are rock solid with some tweaks it will be even better. More in depth content and like Tarkov, some larger maps and some boss's with lore would really go along way. Come on in the water is fine gamers.

Неплохо)
if this game's so bad, why am i having so much fun?
There's really nothing else like this game that makes you feel threatened by both enemy players and the environment in a way that still allows for skill expression and very high adrenaline moments. Its biggest fault is not having a story mode or some other easier mode to introduce new players to the maps and mechanics so they dont get turned away instantly. The hate is forced, if you let this game get its claws in you they WILL sink you.
the new PVE mode is a good step towards keeping the game playable if it dies, or well, when it does
truly the best game to come out in the past 5 years
solid game. Can feel a bit empty sometimes but when the player count goes up it will do well!
It is a great game if you don't mind getting dunked on from time to time, as a PVP-first extraction shooter. The gunplay is great, the abilities are cool, the maps are rather small so there's bound to be a lot of contact with other teams. The lore is cool as ♥♥♥♥, I wish they added a campaign at some point. It is balanced around 3-player teams, so please use a microphone if you're queuing alone with randoms, your experience will usually be better for it <3 It can be played solo, either as a solo queue (vs trios/duos or other solos) or as a Rook run (somewhat similar to scav in EFT), but Bungie still has to tune the game for it and the balance can be off. It is not an easy game, and some poor choices by the dev team at the start of season 2 coupled with the lack of SBMM made it extremely cancerous for non hardcore players. Having said that, time to kill is relatively low, and using comms and informing your teammates will increase your chance to exfil considerably.
