surprisingly boring. it's a one button masher and that's it takes too long to do anything but eat the weakest fish just to get killed by an alligator over and over. i'm not going to swim for 15 minutes just to die over and over
Ultra gory Maneater entirely lives up to its name.
Overall this game is pretty decent thanks to its original gameplay. I got this as part of a bundle and initially didn't really expect to play through the whole thing but it turned out to be rather enjoyable, with a surprising amount of mindless fun to have while growing up the food chain.
Positive

Original concept with unique gameplay
Good diversity in water environments
Smooth and satisfying underwater controls
Collect all kinds of nutrients for evolutions
Eat humans to lure out hunters
Game looks good
Somewhat amusing narrator (but talks too much)

Negative

Fairly repetitive missions
Complex combat controls involve button mashing
Not much diversity in boss fights
Camera jumps around a lot
Janky on land (especially human environments with fences and other obstacles)
No difficulty setting
Franchement vraiment fun
