Maneater

i finished the game and got 100% achievements done despite all the crashes I have experienced even after I have done the startup configs. The game is really unoptimized; even on low i get a lot of frame drops especially when eating humans on land. I guess it has something to do with specific gens of intel CPU that has P-cores and E-cores. I cant recommend the game for anyone with this kind of CPU. The game is good and the story is funny but the frame drop issues made it unbearable, unfortunately I wanted to finish it and get all the achievements.

Einfach ein Hai sein...was will man mehr? Maneater ist wahrscheinlich eines der absurdesten und gleichzeitig unterhaltsamsten Spiele, die ich bisher gespielt habe. Man startet als kleiner Hai und arbeitet sich langsam zum absoluten Endgegner der Meere hoch. Menschen, Fische, Boote, Krokodile wenn es schwimmt, wird es gefressen. Besonders geil finde ich den Humor und die Präsentation als völlig übertriebene Doku-Serie. Der Erzähler macht aus jeder noch so bescheuerten Aktion ein dramatisches Naturereignis. Und wenn man irgendwann als riesiger Mutanten-Hai durch die Gegend schwimmt und Boote auseinander nimmt, merkt man einfach: Das Spiel hat verstanden, worum es geht. Wer einfach mal abschalten, Chaos veranstalten und dabei herzlich lachen möchte, sollte Maneater definitiv ausprobieren.

Fantastic game, I played it years ago on game bass using a Acer Nitro 5, not a single problem, medium settings with high textures, 60 fps. now playing it on a Acer Nitro v15, Max settings, it runs without a single problem in all the areas, bosses etc...BUT, there is just one big problem, the game crashes A LOT, it crashes evn more once you get near the end or try the dlc, After a quick research, Maneater has a ton of issues with modern hardware, basically anything with a 3000 series GPU paired with a 12th gen Cpu will make this game crash, It crashes on startup or in the very firts seconds as soon as the game loads, there are many reports that game crashes randomly during gameplay too, I got lucky and it barelly crashes during gameplay(only 4 crashes during 22 hours og gameplay). Easy way to fix it fro some time is turing vsync off and on and vice versa before staring the game, it will crash again, just repeat this until the game runs normally. I love this game, it is gorgeous and fun to play, the world feels big and alive, the story and characters are super interesting but all those problems are hard to ignore, this will the last time I will play Maneater, now way I wiil be dealing with this bs again.

So... Uhhhhh. You get to like... Uhhhh. Eat people in this one. Which is pretty fun. Highly recommend. Shark supremacy.
