Shark simulator but surprisingly satisfying

Bull shark, not a Great White Shark. Great White is my spirit animal, but either way, it's badass. You play as A SHARK, in a world where sharks are obscenely powerful hunters and the humans want those hunters extinct. It's like if the shark from JAWS ended up warping into my "Heroic Timeline", then DARPA took it in to turn into a Super Soldier. So, SUPER SOLDIER SHARK, it's as absurd and as badass as it sounds... And that's the theme of the game, it's as absurd as it is badass. It's the sort of thing that I want as a pet, so I can bring my enemies over to visit so I can feed them to it like I'm some sort of BOND VILLAIN! And I'd definitely do a great "MUA HAHAHA" if that were ever to be real. First impression, small complaint, you can't turn off the dialogue censorship. Ah well. So imagine that PS2 game of Echo the Dolphin...and now imagine cutting out the oxygen need and making it actually badass. Narratively, I'm really enjoying the whole "Reality TV" and "Documentary" delivery of it all. Gameplay, LOTS AND LOTS OF CLICKING, but at least it feels visceral and satisfying. And when going against 2 Alligators AND a Barracuda all at the same time, all of them ganging up on the one lone Bull Shark? That reinforces that point about being a "Shark Super Soldier". It did crash after attacking one of the goals and bringing in hunters, first crash in about 8 or so hours of fun. SO, my conclusion? As a sadist, now THIS is sadistic game design! And I LOVE IT! MAN, if we could send THIS to the Strait of Hormuz, we wouldn't even NEED a Navy! (Giving this game the "Made With Saturated Awesomeness" award!)

玩了《食人鯊》一段時間後，我覺得這是一款非常有特色、而且越玩越上癮的開放世界遊戲。它最大的樂趣，就是從一條弱小的小鯊魚開始，一路探索海域、捕食獵物、升級身體能力，最後進化成真正的海中霸主。成長系統做得很有意思，不只是單純提升等級，還能更換不同的進化部件，讓鯊魚朝速度、攻擊力或生存能力發展。 老手玩起來最有感的是前期的資源管理和戰鬥節奏。遇到比自己強的敵人不能只靠硬撞，善用閃避、衝刺和環境才容易取勝。到了後期，能力成形後破壞力非常爽，探索地圖、完成任務和挑戰獵人也很有成就感。 不過遊戲後期多少會有一些重複感，任務類型也比較固定。如果期待超寫實的鯊魚模擬器，可能會失望；但如果喜歡升級、探索、戰鬥和一路變強的遊戲，《食人鯊》絕對值得一玩。整體來說，我會給它一個很高的推薦度。

fun game. grab it on sale. you may need to set launch options if you have a intel cpu with p cores. i didnt start crashing until later in the game. if that happens try adding - C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe /c start "" /affinity FFFF %command% in the launch options set the F to number of p cores. 1 F per 2 p cores / FFFF = 8 p cores.

A very close upvote, base game is pretty entertaining, but to 100% the game you need the dlc, which is fun at times but mostly just a pain to complete. This game is really good for people who want to turn their brains off and mindlessly consume everything in sight but not so great for completeness such as I who will be very tired of the game by the end. I got 100% of the achievements at the time of this review.
