This is the number one way to learn table top Magic. Having to build a separate collection in Arena is a little annoying but the game showing you and automatically doing the nuances of Magic for you makes it so much easier to learn how to play and transition to table top.
The shuffler in this game is straight trash, 18 lands on a deck and you will flood, 17 lands and you wont make a land drop in 4 turns. Avoid wasting money and time in this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good
this game is honestly ass, the only way to have fun is to spend hundreds of dollars on cards because to unlock card it takes way to long. and there are so many cheaters. its obv when they get the perfect set up at the start and you lose within first 3 rounds. and yes i know this is just like real life where you should spend money to buy cards, but its not a good idea bc all the cards you bouse in person does not matter they dont transfer. they need to make a way to report hackers and get cards easier, i played for 12 hours in a day and maybe i get a pack or two to open. not even my choice and to buy packs its expensive for no reason. and within the 12 hours i maybe bought two packs.
Game is highly under developed compared to revenue from this company, it's clear because they have a captive audience they won't make this a good app.
Very fun
I can firmly not recommend this game without discussing the obvious problems with the balance of the game i.e. not scaling cards well, overpowering new releases by essentially copying older cards' effects and making them cheaper or stronger, thus incentivizing spending money on the newer sets Instead, the reason I won't recommend this game is because WotC is biblically greedy: If I want to buy a prebuilt deck from the new set, even one that is discounted, I have to spend $100. That's one problem, but another problem is if I labor away to get the mythic and rare wild cards in order to get the cards I want for a deck I'm building that way, if those cards end up getting banned later down the line, I don't get my mythic or rare wild cards back, I am just completely SOL. WotC is a soul-sucking, disgustingly greedy company and I wish they would employ people that had a beating heart and cared about the product instead of soulless corporate worms whose only goal is to maximize profits to the detriment of the consumer
Scumbag company that will continue to make predatory products with ever-increasing pricing while offloading creativity by reskinning magic cards with stuff like spongebob and marvel. They charge you more to put less creativity into their product than they did 10 years ago. Boo to WotC and they will not get another dime from me.
This game has become a complete pay to win game, if you dont drop $100's every release, you might as well give up
This game could REALLY use a real commander mode with a full 40 H.P. along with an expanded card catalog, deck building assist of some variety, SOL RING, a a mode that is more than just a 1V1, I love the effects and how it helps you figure out what an ability is so you don't have to memorize 73 different key terms just to understand why you have to mill your entire library, lose 93 life and what "Conniving" is. All in All I'd say its mid at best and could benefit greatly from a 3 person, 4 person or even 5 person brawl battle where all of those people are in one game of Commander.
