add trading and it would be so much better but no bc adding trading makes less money and could make our player happy and we dont want that

This game is complete trash. I will not critique the modern magic design. I started in 2004 and I have played MTG for a long time so I know how game should play in paper. Unlike MTG Online which is an old Windows only client this game has several major drawbacks that were all designed into the app on purpose. First of unlike MTGO this game does not let you match against real people. They pick the opponent for you and the one they match you with depends greatly on your deck. So instead of getting a random opponent like you would on a tournament or on a pickup game at the club here app matches you based on the deck you choose. You pick fast aggro deck you only get paired against a subset of decks. You pick a slower control deck you get paired against a different pool of decks. This is done on purpose. Second game tries to forcibly keep you on 50% win rate so you grind more. That means that it will fix your draws if you win several games in a row so you lose. Or if you lose several games in a row it will fix your opponents draw. As somebody who has been playing this game for a long time I know how statistics works and this game on purpose and by design fixes draws. On top of all these issues games does not supports all paper formats and to me most of those missing are the actual fun formats. All formats on Arena are to me quite boring. So I can not recommend it since the only reason this games exists is to use casino tactics to get you to play more and spend money more. It does not try to be honest alternative to paper magic. If you live in the area where playing your favourite MTG format is not possible in paper play on MTGO. It is much better representation of paper magic and you will not will or lose due to fix draws by an app that whats you to keep spending money.
